What Bout Amarant?

okay ive seen some threads and all they talk bout is vivi, dagger and Zidane and dont really tlk bout other characters.

I liked him how he wanted to compete with zidane in stuff. So its bringing in a rivalry which i think is great.

I Havent seen anyone at all say anything bout Amarant so im asking why?

Amarant was one of those characters who didn't have a point. He came in to late and he didnt do much. he was cool and good fighter but no point. He didnt have a background and all he did was fight with zidane. He is like Quina who doesnt do much.

That's like saying Vincent does nothing in Final Fantasy VII. Quina does plenty for a supporting party member and is a very useful character if used properly.

If you are asking why are there no threads about Amarant well then the only reason I could think of is that he isn't a popular character. I mean he barely has some sort of story and he looks kinda bizarre.
Don't get me wrong personally I find him useful in the game and I like that he's quiet. At least he's not annoying like Eiko. But I have a felling that SquareEnix has devoted much more time to the other characters and that's one of reasons he isn't much popular.

Amarant can actually be one of the best fighters on your team if you use him correctly, but basically everything I'm going to say has already been said, he comes into the game late, he's pretty freaking quiet and he's kind of a ****, only reason why he stays around is.....well I think Zidane saved his life or something so he owes him from that tower that makes you use the weak weapons (i'm drawing a blank at the moment)

Physically, amarant is one of the best hitters on the team. He's like a monk/ninja where you can both throw things and punch, but when u compare him to Steiner's magic sword attacks and Zidane's trances, he basically falls below the level and he becomes useless. I used him just for the sake of using it and he proved to be useful to me but I knew I was doing with him. You need to play smart with him

The same can be said about Quina's, you don't see his/ hers in the game either. Everyone else's I think is a screen shot from an event in the game.

Amarant may not ahve a lot of Backstory, but other character didn't have much either. Eiko didn't have a lot of backstory (as everything that happened in Madain Sari happened 4-6 years before she was even born) And while Quina DOES have some backstory, that backstory is almost more related to Vivi >_>.

As a party member though, he is probably one of the best character of the game. While he is one of the few NOT to be able to constantly hit for 9999, he does everything, and he does it decently (either dealing physical or magic damage, and is even a decent healer)

I think Amarant is a great character. He isn't essential to the story, yet he didn't feel like he was thrown in at the last minute like Vaan and Penelo. His (very) minor role in the story complemented the other characters and

I really liked Amarant. Prob my second favorite character, actually. He's just kind of a badass; I liked it.
