Is there any way to get inside the Mist Continent?

Right now, I'm on Disc 3, just before you go to Mt. Gulug. I decided to do a little Chocobo H&C and there's that one chocograph treasure next to a river inside the mountainous region of the continent but I can't get within that area. Is there any way to without an airship or mountain chocobo?

Nope. I did all of the chocobo H&C stuff in Disc Four. You need the mountain chocobo or higher for that one. You can do it in Disc three I'm sure, but not without the Mountain chocobo. Just keep working at it.

You can do most of the mist continent in Disc 1. You just have to do a lot of walking. All of the Chocobo Hot and Cold can be done once you get the Hilde Garde 3 (aka the first time you get an airship)

Do you have a Yellow Chocobo? If so you need to find the chocograph for around Cleyra, that one will give you the River Chocobo(Light Blue).
