A Question of Ultima (Magic)

Good people of the forum, I have but a small question for you. As someone who has played this game to death and back, I really can't find a decent way to obtain this magic easily and efficiently. I use it to junction to Elemental Defence because 100 stocked gives 100% defence then coupled with anything else you want to add to absorb. Only problem is aside from the Draw Point at Shumi Village, the couple on the world map that you need Move-Find for and Forbidden Refining of Energy Crystals and Ultima Stones, does anyone have any other methods of getting any? It would seem to get my main three characters to have 100 each will be very lengthy and in essence, pointless without doing it the way I am. I'm all ears.

Move-Find and Extracting from items was how I did it. I put No-Encounter on, and ran around the Island Closest to Hell finding the Draw Points. Didn't take THAT long.

Yeah I just recall running around Island Closest to Hell and finding the hidden draw points. Didn't find it too arduous from memory.

I've always had bad luck from draw points though. I literally get no more than six at a time, and when trying to keep low levels that particular place is not one I'd venture to! But thanks for the input guys

Well, let's put it like this. At least when your at a low level you don't have to worry about life threating attacks like a high level run does so you can feel some kind of security when your running around finding those points. There are bosses you can draw this from but I wouldn't unless your a completionist like myself.

The Average number of Ultima you get from those Draw Points isn't going to be 15 or 20 each lol. None of them are high numbers. It honestly doesn't take long. But it is indeed annoying since on my latest file I had everybody maxed out and I didn't use cards so I was running around that Island for a while.

I am a completionist Secret. I have nothing left to do on the game other than a playthrough where I harvest Ultimas. I'm just doing a low level one while I'm at it.

I am aware of that loaf, but I average no more than 2-4, making it laborious.

The trick is to stick the outside of the island and hit the x button. You should get a whole bunch of powerful magic draws, im going to guess about 20. Once you have circulated the island, then start exploring inbetween. There are probably about another 13 - 16 draw points to be found. Im certain there are 5 ultima points there. Just chiming in, even if you keep your level low, the monsters on this particula island can destroy you. The idea is to equip enc-none for the duration of the game once you recieve it.

As far as getting 100 ultima, there is the battle with ultima weapon that will relinquish 100 ultima stones upon its defeat, so thats already 100 you wont have to worry about. Apart from that, it shouldn't take too long to farm a furthar 200 from the draw point at shumi (which can give upto 15 if you're lucky, but its usually always at least 9) and the rest from the island closest to hell.

Hmm. See I have the strategy guide (not really because I need it, more so because I bought it with the game when I was 12 or 13) and I tend to use the map on there because it also has locations of every hidden Draw point on there. But with low levels come low Luck stats which I think has a small impact on drawing but I might be wrong. All good info though, I'm just trying to do it as quickly as possible.
