Seifer's Scar?

Just wondering how did Seifer get his scar? I always assumed Squall gave it to him with the upward slash he did after Seifer drew Squall's blood. However there is no mention in the game about how Seifer's scar came about. Also during the SeeD exam I didn't notice anything indicating that he actually had a scar. So where did it actually come from?

He got the scar in the opening FMV after he had slashed Squall.

Squall actually -did-, in fact, give Seifer the scar himself after Seifer injured Squall first.

At the end of the opening FMV, Seifer slashes Squall and bloodies up his poor sweet girly-man face, then Squall gets up & swings his sword up, slashing Seifer in the same spot in the process. We just don't see it actually happen 'cuz that's the end of the opening sequence.

As for being unable to see it during the SeeD Exam, or in-game, you really can't see Squall's scar either. Chalk it up to not-quite-there-yet in-game graphics.

I may be wrong, but I believe there are references to his scar in the game as well, especially near the beginning.

Also, am I the only person who can see the scar? There is a small red line on ther faces... =s

I wear glasses when I drive. Not when playing vidya games. Therefore I can't see the red lines most of the time lol

Seifer is a tough guy dude who people wouldn't want to fight. So it's only natural for him to just shrug it off as nothing so nobody will probably ever mention it, due to Seifer being Seifer. Also if you watch the FMV, Seifer uses his Limit Break and pulls the trigger (due to his limit break Fire Cross - No Mercy), Squall does not. Squall got a slash and explosion/heavy vibration to the face...Seifer just got a slash to the face.
