Freya and Vivi, they're good listeners and won't talk your ear off. Maybe Quina too, since I share her love of good food, and she would know the best places to eat.
Steiner for me. As a criminal justice major, I find that if I would be in an FF game, I would be a type of knight. The reason why I picked Steiner is because my wife and I would love to kick his ass for all his damn whining. He is a disgrace to the knighthood, but I suppose they all can't be like Orlandu.

If it isn't obvious from my avatar, I would want to spend a day with Stiltzkin. He would tell stories of all his world travels, and the adventures he had. It would be a day that I wouldn't want to end.
If they were to make a sequel to FFIX, I would want it to focus on Stiltzkin. They could call it Final Fantasy IX: Stiltzkin's Story. We already know from Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance that moogles are powerful creatures.

I would hang out with quite a lot of characters, 3 to be exact.
Zidane: He might bbe weird at first but once you get to know him, he's a cool fella, I guess (Look at how Steiner quickly gained respect for him; he still hated/doubted him at the 2/3 of the 3rd disc (when you get the airship) but at the end of the same disc, he admits he's considering Zidane to be a decent man for Garnet)
Freya: Like one poster said, because she tends to listen to her friends, which is IMO one of the best qualities a friend can have.
Vivi: For the same reasons as freya
I'd want to hand out with Vivi as he is such a super sweet character, has a clumsy personality (bit like me really) and there is so much I would want to ask him. My favourite job class has always been the Mage division.

One day is not enough, If I was to spend one day with my favourite FFIX character, Garnet, I would rather kill myself than to live on after that, because then my life would have ended on the greatest high I could possibly imagine.
If there was a real life Garnet who was identical to the Garnet in the game in every way, shape and form, it would drive me insane, I would gladly kill people to spend my life with her.
If death was an eternal lucid dream, I would happily commit suicide so that I could spend the rest of my 'existance' with Garnet.

I'd have to hang out with Zidane, he's my favorite character from the game and even though he may come off as childish and immature he has a depth to his personality that he plays off with his antics. I'd get to know him for sure.

Kuja, for sure. It's not that I dislike our brave heroes, it's just something about his character fascinates me. When he's not hell bent on destroying, well, everything, I suspect he'd actually be very interesting to talk to. And you know, blow some shit up for funsies.
