I do not doubt that Cid I wasn't real: the chocographs prove this. How he came across these is a question though. I personally have small trouble seeing a great adventurer-king riding or flying a chocobo. How did he also discover Ozma? I believe he was great, but may have been inflated a bit.

The thing is, not much is around Cid I. He was an explorer, that much is true. And he did discover or maybe make the chocographs, evidenced by the inscriptions detailing the Air Garden. He may also have been the 'ancient wanderer' Fat Chocobo references. I can't remember right, but I think he also discovered Ipsen's Castle. That's about it. Not much else is out there for him.

Interesting storyline i always thought, but since there wasn't much to it (that is what you were reading of statues etc), i didn't read much of it, but still rly cool storyline otherwise that you experience, could well be material for remake or something.
