    Chocograph Help

    Hello people,

I have recently just returned to FF9 and I have just recieved the Hilde Garde 3 and I thought to myself 'A perfect time to raise my characters and do some side quests.' So I have been doing the chocograph quests which have all been good and I have recieved the Blue chocobo and Have went to the lagoon.

But here is my problem everything was going fine until I got the 'Abandoned Lagoon' chocograph. I have an idea as to where it is from several online guides but when I have tried to get to it it appears you need the Blue narcissis to get to the area with the shallows and chocobo tracks. The problem here is that the airship can not land on dirt and the small area where the tracks are has no grass only a beach and dirt meaning I can not land.

The other problem is I read somewhere that you can only hold to chocographs from a certain area at a time and I also have another one from the lagoon which I can not get until the red chocobo, meaning I can't go and get more graphs.

Have I made a mistake and can't get it anymore?

Am I just really stupid and made a blind mistake that is easily fixed?

    Or is there another option?

It would be greatly appreciated if somebody could please help me with this, I will love you forever!

    Thanks,
    Possnoah

By this point you should have the Ocean Chocobo ability right?:

I don't see why you would even need the chocobo tracks if you just run off of a beach into the water (?)

    Unless I missed something.

I was thinking that since I'm artificially creating it, I'll create it with rocket fuel instead of blood, and thus it will be able to fly, using the dolphin's dorsal fins as wings. And from the air, it will look down upon us all and protect us against sharks, and search for bananas.

Haha. I haven't gotten the all Chocographs in a while. I'm pretty sure you're not stuck since I dont think the game would allow you to get two you wouldn't be able to get with no alternative.

    unless it's a terrible bug.

There's might be a reef parttern around the area you can follow. If not the only other option is to continue digging in hopes of finding another. I never really payed attention to the amount of Chocographs per place I was limited to.

    Re: Chocograph Help

Thanks for your help. I read on some site that you can only get two per place at a time however that may be wrong. I am pretty sure I have checked every place and there is no other way of getting it.

I guess ill keep searching for graphs at the Chocobo lagoon but in the mean time anyone else have any ideas of what has happened?

    Re: Chocograph Help

You might have to wait until you get the airship, the Invincible. It can land on stuff that the Hilde Garde III is unable to, therefore opening up a greater chance at getting to the place where the treasures you're looking for are located. I think that's what I wound up doing when I got stuck on finding a treasure from a chocograph. It's been a while since I played it though.

    Re: Chocograph Help

You can reach the Chocobo Lagoon (where there are more chocographs) with the boat and a light blue chocobo. You call a chocobo one of the islands west of the Forgotten Continent and there's a rather convoluted way to the Lagoon which takes you through shallow water only. But I can't remember which island you call the chocobo now or indeed the route you need to take from there.

Hello everybody I am sorry for the late reply.
I feel quite embarrassed but I just went back to the lagoon and digged some more and got another chocograph and since then I have progressed up to the dark blue chocobo and have got the one I was looking for. Sorry for wasting peoples time but thank you all for helping.
