Is the Playstation Network version any different?

Are the graphics smoother because it runs on the PS3 instead of a PS1 now? Do the PS1 upscaler options work for this since it's on the hard drive? I have the game discs, but if the graphics are any different at all I might buy it on the PSN and replay it.

I've found some major issues with mine, which I've played on the PSP rather than the PS3. Every so often, the screen just farks up into a mess of coloured pixels. It first occurred in the tunnel on route to the Sector 5 reactor, and it freaked me out, but then went away. It came back in the barrel-throwing exercise, where everyting except the barrels turned to crap. I couldn't read the text, see where I was, or pretty much do anything.

Aside from this, it's exactly the same. It's cool that you can access the manual by hitting Home, but that's probably the only difference.

I recommend to anyone who already owns this game to NOT buy it. I don't know if it's my PSP, or whatever, but it's a total mess.

YOur problem is the PSP itself. Not just yours. Play this on PS3, you'll a lot less problem!

Definitely not buying it. Game discs>taking up hard drive space if it's the same. Plus the risk of new bugs. Thank you for the info, Alpha.

When it first came onto the network I was so tempted to buy it for an up coming holiday but I've heard nothing but bad news about it. There seems to be a a lot of trouble with using the home button to switch between discs.
I'm going to wait to see if they release a de bugged version.

Personally I'd love a remade version with graphics up to what they can do today. Cloud is now too hot to see him with little cube hands again XD

I downloaded the PSN version the day it hit and I've played through it all the way with no problems... Are you guys turning the upscaling On or Off? I've heard that can make a difference.

I have asked this question myself and what I hear is it is no different at all.
