Odd, usually those are just mesh and texture replacers, shouldn't affect your game saves at all.
Usually corrupted saves, at least from my limited experience (again, never actually happened to me) occur when you things to the game, save with them in your file, then remove them and continue from a save that used them. It can USUALLY handle that, but sometimes it can screw with your saves.
