    The killer soundtrack

People, I just need to spread my love of the FF7 soundtrack. I own the soundtrack and it's one of my favorite cds to listen to

Even using midi sounds, Nobuo Uematsu can still create great stuff can't he?

I feel like the music fits the landscape of the midwest US (like the prairie and a few urban areas) and growing up there I fit many of the game's tracks into my conciousness, so to say.

I could mention 4 great points to any track, like the Native American musical vibe of "If You Open Your Heart" (Fort Condor Music) and the Cosmo Canyon music, the mystical qualities of "Reunion" and "A Secret Sleeping Deep In The Sea", and the urban groove of the Wall Market music

Share the love of the soundtrack with me! What are your favorite tracks?

I don't own the actual soundtrack, but going by the songs I heard throughout the game, my favorites were:

-Aeris' Theme (that is the name of the song that plays during the...sad scene...isn't it?)
-I forget the name, but the song that plays sometimes when it shows Sephiroth being up to no good. The one that starts out quiet, then gets more sinister and evil.
-The world map theme. Just might be my favorite of the series just behind FFIX.
    Currently Playing: Final Fantasy

    Up Next: Final Fantasy II

One theme I remember really liking is the Cosmo Canyon one. I think it was called Valley of the Fallen Star, or something.

    Cosmo Canyon theme.
The one that plays during Sephiroth's torment of Cloud.
    One Winged Angel (I know,I know,but I like it.)
There's one called Highwind or something that plays during the ending credits that's pretty awesome.

    Re: The killer soundtrack

Oh wow, where to begin. First of all, the FF7 prelude is my favorite prelude in the series. It has the same great elements as all the later preludes, but what makes it for me is when the different arpeggios are used towards the end. Anyway, just to name a few of my favorites, besides the usual suspects, I would say Anxious Heart, It's Difficult to Stand On Both Feet, Holding My Thought in My Heart, Desendent Of Shinobi, Forested Temple, The Nightmare's Beginning, just to name a few of the minor songs. Also, I was not happy when the Main World Map theme was replaced towards the end of the game. The first theme was just magnificent, and the other one was just bland. I got the entire soundtrack by downloading one of the many versions on youtube, and that was definitely two-three hours well spent. Seriously, look up final fantasy VII soundtrack on youtube, you will find more than 10 versions of it.

Final Fantasy VII has indeed a great soundtrack, though I personally prefer the one from Crisis Core. My favorite pieces are Aerith's and Jenova Theme, quite opposite from each other but both great nevertheless.

To be honest...I love every single final fantasy 7 song in any game that has ever been created. To unfinished songs to full songs...I love them to the DEATH!!! Period. No questions asked.

    Re: The killer soundtrack

Great question!! ahh lets see I listen to them daily puts me in a happy place:

*Sorry ppl I gotta long list n its not in any particular order**

"Bombing Mission" Everytime I play this I wanna play FFVII all over again (Ive played FFVII 28 times total)

"Fighting" I look forward to random battles just to hear this epic music.
"Still More Fighting" Love. To. Death.

"Crazy Motorcycle" -A word of advice- DO NOT PLAY THIS WHILE DRIVING

The one and only, MY Man's theme, "One-Winged Angel" Advent Children version but I have to admit I think I like "The Birth of God" bit more Oh yeaah my Man's got more than one song (yeh u gotta prob with that take it up with Square)

"J-E-N-O-V-A" (<< actually spelt like that) I prefer the FFVII one over the Advent Children version altho I still listen to both.

"Debut" I listen to this when I feel stupid..which is most of the time.

"ShinRa Corporation" Fking love this song. Suits ShinRa so well. Oh n I listen to this when I walk down the Mall, makes me feel like a Boss

"Turk's Theme" Makes me feel like a boss as well and is sexAy altho im not really a fan of the Turks, SOLDIERs badass but Turks like to think they r. (EXCEPTION: VINCENT VALENTINE XD)

"Anxious Heart" This song plays in my head when Ive blown all my money and/or gained weight

"The Nightmare's Beginning" VINCENT. VALENTINE. That sexy beast in the red below. I hav great dreams at night yeah

"Those Chosen by the Planet" Most ppl find this theme scary. I find it bloody sexy..cause..well you know why

"Underneath the Rotting Pizza" Just a mad song. Love the different sound effects used in this one

"Hurry" I need to play this whenever I gotta get ready to go out..great motivation when I dont even want to go out in the first place

"Cid's theme" I love playing this when Ive accomplished something big..like cleaning my apartment or passing the junk food aisles

"Aerith's Theme" This song is one of if not in my top 3 favourite songs of all time across all music genres.

"Cosmo Canyon" Fk Costa De Sol. I wanna live here. One of the best pieces on the FFVII soundtrack.

Sephiroth main theme will all ways give me chills.

Hi there were Red Mages. We can hurt you with our Black Magic and heal you with our white Magic just so we can kick your asses some more. If we run out of MP or is just bored we can shank you with our sword. No need to waste your slots on a Black or White Mage since we can do both and more. So what if our stats aren't good or we can't use the best Magic of either classes, we can still hold our own far better than those two. Did we forget we also have a pimp hat and a badass feather on it. Our outfit's color is the same as your blood that is about to be spilled the second you fight us.Muhahahhaha Blue Mages,Dragoons,Monks, all of the classes don't got shit on us. Were just that good.
