It takes 5 stars sis to master it. You need A GANG LOAD of AP to master it though (like 400,000-500,000) I can remember some of it's effects...

I started a new game in order to obtain all the materia and to double them up as much as I can.the only ones now that I'm missing are w summon which is in the battle arena and final attack materia. I have won it before in the chocobo races in my previous file but for some reason will not come up as a prize. When does it become available??
I'm on disc 3 and have already entered northern crater at least once.. perhaps i need to finnish killing all the weapons?? or is it because there is something more I need to accomplish in the gold saucer??
* help please =] *
I have played this game before and am now playing throuh it for the second time.
I got to the point where you are chasing yuffie in Wutai and we are back at her house and I am supposed to pull a lever. Where is this so called lever as nothing that I press ok(PC version so "ok" is ENTER) on with make any kind of action happen
Ok i'm close to the temple of the ancients, i remember i always have trouble winning the boss fight there with all party members alive. Anyone have tips on how to beat the boss quick and easy?
Sig and ave made by Violet, thanks again Violet!
I Didn't think a guy with cloud in his name would need help
Are you talking about the demon door in the temple?
My things:
Yeah, that SOB keeps attacking too many damn times in a row. I cast slow on it and it still gets too many turns.
Sig and ave made by Violet, thanks again Violet!
Sorry I just kept my Hp up every turn and used a limit break whenever I got it, thats all the advice I can give, Try a walk through if your really desperate or need some tips
My things:
Slow and Hastaga are the way to go with this one. Then pummel the crap out of it with all of your characters and only heal when needed. This is the best advice I can give you. Also using people with quicker agility helps.

where do you go after you get cid
You can travel west and go to Wutai and do Yuffie's subquest (if you have her in your party) or you can head around east and go back to the Gold Saucer area where the main story picks back up.

I'm preparing for some leveling up near Kalm town. Just after escaping from Midgar with that motorcycle mini game.
But that was before I got my new tv. I haven't even set my playstation 2 up yet.
is there anywhere to purchas the "all materia"? or am i stuck multiplying them?
You can buy All materia in Fort Condor when you get to disk 2 and 3. There may be other places, but none come to mind at the moment. All actually levels up and multiplies pretty quickly though, much more so than any of the other materia, but if you want to buy it, I suggest Fort Condor.

If I remember correctly you can't forget the materia shop in sector seven slums, that is if you haven't left midgar yet. They get to be pretty easy to come across in the later portions of the game.

Okay. I got it now. And for the record whenever I used to try the bank link above the donate link before, I did not get that screen.
okay i want all the cool stuff from all the caves you can only reach with chocobos...only breeding just seems to suck to me..i read how to do it so what i am asking is there any easier way to do it like should i only catch the chocobos at a certain spot on the map?? i'd like to skip all and go right for the gold!! anyone got any advice for me!!!!! i hate breeding why cant i just kill a monster to get em ahhhh
If you don't want to breed your own Gold Chocobo, then you can try and defeat the Ruby Weapon and get one that way. I warn you though, it sounds a lot easier than it actually is, but if you do manage to beat it, then you'll be awarded the Desert Rose. The Desert Rose can be traded to the man in Kalm for a Gold Chocobo.
Here's a link to the FF Wiki that lists a bunch of strategies for beating Ruby Weapon:

Good luck.

Thanks Dodie!!
i guess i'm stuck breeding them lol!!! or might as well try cause it'll take more time to max out my characters to stand a chance against ruby! does it matter where i get my chocobos from?
Yeah, you have to start out with pretty high quality Chocobos if you want to eventually get a Gold one. I recommend that you catch the Wonderful Chocobos that are around in the Icicle Inn area, and start your breeding with those.
There's a thread here in TFF that goes pretty in-depth with the whole process.

thanks again!!i'm off to breed chocobos!!!!
It's not so hard to beat Ruby weapon. In fact you can beat him at about level 60 I'd say. Best way to do it, is have two of your party members (other than Cloud) in KO status, make sure you have a ton of dazers (because they paralyze him which buys you alot of time) Keep throwing Dazers at him, and use physical attacks (4x cut is preferable). Make sure you have a few hero drinks at hand also, and it would really help if you had counter attack materia (i hve mastered about 10 of these and have them all equipped on cloud since he does alot of physical damage) and each time you get hit you can hit him for about 10 hits, and you can also get 4 hits in when its your turn to attack. Hope this helps!

Okay, I have a question, besides the ultimate Weapons( since you get no AP gain) are there any super legit weapons/ armor in the game that give a decent amount of Materia slots and give double/ triple AP gain? I have a few in my inventory that give double/ triple but they only have about 2 Materia slots. The best I have are:
Aplocalpse which give triple AP ( three individual slots )
Rune Armlet which is double ( 4 individual slots)
and a few more around the same amount.
I'm just grinding leveling up a bunch of the Materia, mainly support and summon which take a while to level up. I'm trying to find something that has more slots because by fighting the magic pots I can get up to 6000 AP a battle with triple.
You'd think that the weapons seller by Costa del sol would be the one to hook it up but as far as I remember the only thing he's really good for was giving me Great Gospel -_- which is useless.

It's sort of a weird trade off that the weapons and accessories have in the game: Better AP build but less materia slots... You're doing good to keep the Apocalypse and Rune Armlets equipped since there's not any others that are better when it comes to AP grinding.
