Just beat FF2 (Pictures)

Well I beat it, The leveling up system was cool other than you can break it, and once you get the blood sword all undead enemies are simple, I beat the last boss in one hit dual wielding blood swords.... ahah. And once again, TOO MANY RANDOM BATTLES. It seemed like they were all 3 seconds apart, and I never fled. Never.

Ya know, you should go back and replay and not use the Blood Swords to defeat the Emperor. He is not that tough. Attack magic for the most part sucks in this game, but support magic is key to making it easy. All you need for the Emperor is: Haste, Aura, Wall or Shield(?), Protect, Beserk and if ya want Shell. Just apply Haste and Aura multiple time as well as Beserk probably and you shall be good to go.

But congratulations. Is Final Fantasy III next on your agenda or...?

Congratulations on beating the game. I haven't picked up and played this particular FF, so I don't know the kinds of things you went through to complete it, but congrats all the same. I think it's cool that you're playing through the series and snapping photos of your results. Good luck to you in your future FF endeavors as well.

Too many random battles are practically the trademark of the earlier games, I got used to it, not that it bothered me in the first place. Glad to hear/read that you loved the leveling system, not many seem to like it. I would like to see your overall opinion on the game, the story, characters, music, opponents and so...

I almost forgot to congrats you, just keep beating them. God luck with V, I hope you'll like it more than I do.

This is one I never got through because I got annoyed with the game, so congrats. 28 hours of FFII is a feat I couldn't accomplish

Thanks guys, and yeah 3 is on my agenda, I'm saving the hand held final fantasys for last. I did wanna go in order, but I'm not ready for some hardcore neck aches at the moment. Ahahaha. And as for the story and music. I loved the battle music, I forget the dungeon but this one dungeon I went to had great music and I never wanted to leave, ahaha. I did get used to the random battles but like I said, I never fled, that's where most of my time went. The story, It's hard to remember most of it, but it seemed like an alright story I mean, it's obviously supposed to be a more mature story.

I say all Final Fantasy fans should give this game a shot, it's in my top faves right now, it's really good.

And yeah, I'm playing 5 next because I beat 4 already, I wanted to go in order but like I said before, handheld systems screw my neck up so they're last, and the reason I beat 4 before I got to these is because I didn't own them yet. Actually, this may surprise you but 13 is the first one I've beaten, it's the first final fantasy I've owned in years. Then I just bought all of them. Ahaha. =]

You have convinced me to start playing through some of the old ones. I have played 1,4,6, and 7 several times and know their stories pretty well. The rest of the series was one and done whenever I first got my hands on them. Still never played 3 though. I dont have full copies of 8 or 9 though, from lending them to friends or broken discs I am missing 2 of 4 from 8 and all of 9.

8 and 9 greatest hits are less than 15 dollars on amazon. =] You should pick them up. These games are hella fun, but 5 gives me a headache, too much to worry about.

Good job on beating the game. I liked that game it's unique training system was cool. Also some attack magic is killer when the right conditions are met especially Ultima, Banish, and the elemental ones as long as enemies are weak to the element.

I remember trying to play FFII years ago, getting frustrated in 30 minutes and quitting. Did I just go about it wrong?

Congrats, even though it's very, very late. I myself am an FFII fan, and while it was tough to get used to (mainly because of my inexperience of Final Fantasy games back when I started), I ended up passing the game countless times.

And kudos for getting all items. Must have been tough, especially in Castle Palamecia and the Dreadnought.
