FFI + II on iPod

I know there's PSP versions out and playing on an emulator is far easier, but there's something about the iPod versions of the games I find pretty charming. It's probably because I don't own a PSP and am too sound of mind to take my laptop with me on every train journey I take. Anyone else grabbed hold of these little beauts? They may well still be half price as they were a couple of weeks when I bought them from the iTunes store myself and the boredom of travelling via public transport has given me the kick up the backside to actually finish these games, something that probably never would have happened with them on the ol' ZSNES.

I am quite the loveable character I have to admit! My condolences go out that they're not on sale anymore though, still a bargain though IMO. I'm determined not to touch II until I can at least finish the first title once through.

I love these games for the iPod/iPhone.
I got an iPhone in November and immediately
Downloaded ff2. It's great! Very old school
Which is what I like. I do alot of traveling to
Work so I know what your talking about.

I just recently bought iPhone 3GS too and I am considering buying these (+FF III, that is also available now).

However can anyone comment on how the games have been working? Also does it matter in which order I play the games? (I am not too familiar with the game series as my experience is limited to three FF games).

Bought 1, 2, and 3 on my iPhone just a few days ago. Sat down and played through FF1...its the first Final Fantasy I've beaten!

They work great on the iPhone/iPod. I have the exact same iPhone as you, and I love them. Controls are great. III's controls are especially spiffy because a virtual joystick shows up wherever you put your finger.

It doesn't matter what order you play them in...unless the game has a direct sequel (X-2, XIII-2, etc.), the story isn't continued in the next game. However if you are choosing between 1 2 and 3 on the iPhone, I'd suggest playing 1 first...just because its shorter than the other two, and it has the weakest story (nameless characters). If you play the other two first it might be harder to enjoy the first game. Its still a lot of fun though!

Definitely working my way through I and III on the iPhone right now. Love them both. III is the only FF I've never actually beaten, but with as much as I've been traveling lately, I think I might actually make it through this time.
