Great thread! I have been doing a little research on their next big project. While I would love to see Ni No Kuni become a franchise, I would equally love to see a whole new experience. Don't get me wrong, I have over 150 hours in Ni No Kuni and would probably put it in my top five RPG's. However, Level-5 has a "now" very rare ability as a developer to bring exciting and fresh games to a very boring and trendy catalog of new releases. Unless Square pulls out all the stops in the next gen, Level-5 will continue to rise to the top of the JRPG.
Who knows though, when Level-5 finds the right formula they tend to spawn a sequel. Ni No Kuni 2, Dark Cloud 3, or even another Dragon Quest gem could be on the horizon!
