    Xenoblade Chronicles

Xenoblade has recently been announced for America, which makes me feel a little bit sad that now everyone will soon have access to this masterpiece. Its not often european gamers get something that the american gamers dont. Anyone planning to buy it upon release or anyone already have it?

After a few months playing it I have to say its probably one of the best RPGs of this generation. This game alone makes having a Wii almost worthwhile. Its got soothing music, grand vistas and over 100 hours of gameplay. Some people might knock the voice acting but it just adds to the appeal for me.

    Re: Xenoblade Chronicles

Being a Xeno fan I will be getting this game. As to when I am unsure as I may be a bit occupied in April. First I'll have to get a Wii before I do anything else when the time nears or when I'm able.

I heard that there are some similarities in gameplay to FFXII. Some have said an even more open, bigger FFXII. What are your thoughts on that?

    Main series FFs Beaten - FF: 4x, FFII: 3x, FFIII: 3x, FFIV: 3x, FFV: 3x, FFVI: 4x, FFVII: 5x, FFVIII: 5x, FFIX: 3x, FFX: 4x, FFXII: 3x, FFXIII: 2x, FFXV: 2x

I never really thought of Xenoblade in the same sort of context as FF XII but now that you mention it the similarities are uncanny. The battle system is largely automated like FF XII but I feel there is a greater degree of control. And yes, it is definitely a huge open world with so much to do. I would still consider FF XII marginally the better game but I would say that the completely different atmosphere and dynamic(near vertical difficulty curve) would render any comparisons outside of gameplay and the open ended nature of the world obsolete.

Definitely has some similarities with FFXII in its battle system. I find it to be better, though. The world is kind of similar too, but more open.

I loved just about everything about this game. It has a few flaws, but they weren't enough to bring this game down for me. It's the only game I've ever decided is worth a "10".

I'm glad that it's being released in more areas.

I'm so glad this is coming out in US!!! I made a pre-order of the game at my local gamestop. I've been watching the trailer over and over, as well as spreading the love to others who like rpgs and never heard of the game. The soundtrack sound really good and the story looks very promising.
