Nintendo announced that they are planning to do a remaster of the Wind Waker in HD. According to their direct channel, the speaker said that the other zelda game that they have in development is going to take longer than expected due to what the Wii U would require them to develop in a zelda game. In the meantime they are treating us to this rather impressive remake if you are a Wind Waker fan. The updated graphics remind me of Skyward Sword a bit if you take a close look at the artwork in the screenshots.

I would like to mention that this isn't just an HD update like upping the anti aliasing and making it 16:9 ratio.
They are actually redoing a lot of it, the comparison photos are like night and day.
Wind Waker was one of my least favorite to favorite to be honest. Sail, sail, sail, island, fight, boss, sail, sail, sail, sail. Nor was I fan of the Cel style. But I didn't hate it, it was still enjoyable. I might pick it up a Wii U when this drops and some more titles I want drop.
