What type of levels do you hate to see in Video games?

You can post the kinds you like after you post the kinds you hate

For me, it is definitely water levels of any sort.
It started with Mario. You move so slow, and the jellyfish thingies cheat their asses off. Then it got amplified in Zelda, since they ALWAYS use a water dungeon. Again, it is slow and FREAKING confusing, since again they always have you controlling water valves in some way. Add that with the fact that I have Hydrophobia(fear of water), and you have a bad connection.
Even FF12, the water sluice. I hated it because there was water present.

    The ones I love.

Weirdly enough, I love levels with beaches, or just a relaxed atmosphere.
Besaid and Balamb quickly come to mind, as well as any bright vivid locations.

    Honerable mentions of hate.
Dungeons(curse you flash Tm), Volcanos, deserts,
    Likes
    Forest, skys, anything purple.

Your pathetic existence will shut down. I will make your lives end in ruin. Fear me, as you fear death. Not a threat, not a promise, but what must be finished. 7 final arcs...

Yeah i don't really like water levels, but the only water level i dont like is in Mario 64.
I loved the ones in 1 and 3 and Mario Galaxy.
Water Temple is Legend of Zelda is frickin boring, really dont care for that one.
Not that it's hard, it's just seriously boring.

Stealth levels are the bane of the gaming world in my eyes. Boring, unnecessary and a pain in the arse to beat sometimes. Example in point is FF VII: Dirge of Cerberus with the Cait Sith level. Enjoyed the game up to that point, saw it was a stealth level turned it off and havent turned it back on. The stealthy gimmicky levels in games look piss poor compared to the purism of MGS or Splinter Cell.

Same goes for poorly implemented vehicle missions(aka Gears of war 1 and 2).

Escort mission levels... Zero Punctuation sums up my feelings quite nicely in this picture:

No game....I actually don't wanna babysit a moronic NPC who gets in harm's way no matter how hard I try to keep it safe.

Now there are some games that do the escort mission thing pretty okay. ICO is a game built on that concept, and I actually didn't mind that.

I agree somewhat to stealth levels but the one in DoC is only 1, and it's the only time time you play Cait Sith alone, which i thought was really cool.
That level didn't take long either and if i remember correctly you could be seen too, which means it's not on of those levels you have to start everything all over again.

Ohhhh, escort ones! Can't stand their pathetic impudent existence!
Unless they can defend for themselves in any sense (Eileen Silent hill 4), then they are RETARDED!

Timed missions piss me off too, especially if they make you doo tooooo much stuff (points at san andreas)

Any time a game takes a turn to a desert, my spirit drops pretty low.

But, of course, I never give up.

Word @ escort stuff, Dodie. Absolutely get insanely mad and the feeling I'm no longer in control anymore. Also some of the timed stuff in games makes me super angry, but it depends on the game.

I stream Bloodborne, FFXIV, and occasionally other games.

I love Final Fantasy 12, but the Sandsea parts always seem to last too long for me. It's still fun, but relieving to be through with.
