Probably Xaldin. Ive had my fair share of moments with dying over and over and over on fights, but im not sure anything compares to the frustration of that wanker. I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown at one point
I say it is FF13's Bahamut fight.
Seriously, no, not even funny guys. The hell kinda cheap Sh!t is that????
He attacks, chain attacks, chain attacks, chain attacks, and finishes with a final attack, leaving me close to dead, and immediately attacks with another set of 5 hit combo, killing me.
Out of Final Fantasy, I would say, Dark link in the water temple, Ocarina of time.
Not only do I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE WATER IN REAL LIFE, I HATE WATER TEMPLES OR LEVELS IN ALL GAMES! And then him, who mocks me and I can't even hit him. Didn't know the hammer worked, didn't want to leave the water temple to get the biggorons sword cause I don't remember what I was doing, cheacted with Dins fire thingy, but ran out, had only 10 hearts, and only had 3 when I was fighting him because I glitched in the room before and a damn keese kept hitting me...
DMC 3 virgil was an asshat too.

Easily Fighting Real from Arc Rise Fantasia, I easily died about 20 times fighting him, so annoying, eventually I managed to beat him with a sliver of health left...
Other than that I can't really remember any other bosses that made me hate the world, I'll do some research though.

Me, and my uncle played the new Turok game on the 360 a year or so back, and we arrived at the last level only to die by that damn T Rex a thousand times!
I new their was something we were missing that would allow us to take him out, simple as pie, but we never really tried to much after dieing every time we loaded the game.
We went through the whole game, with no problem, so we just both decided we messed up somehow, or their was a glitch, and never finished the game.
Which still haunts me to this day!

I forgot something, the fighting game of Tekken.
They don't make the final boss fair.
Azazel for the PS3 and XBOX360 respectively.
He will force you to accept death. Don't worry, it isn't all painful.
And, I have seemed forget the others, but the final boss in the Game prior to that, Part 5.
He is also a brute who gives you no place for failure.

Lol im so with you on that one. On a similar point, i died a lot when fightig Deymx (is that correct spelling?) aswell. It wasn't so much that he was tough to beat, it was more the water sprites that he summoned that you had to kill in a certain amount of time, now that was frustrating . I couldnt tell you the exact amount of times i died but it was a fair few.

I was going to ask if playing fighting games counts; specifically multiplayer.
I'm pretty decent at Smash Bros Brawl. I'm not great, but I am certainly not bad by any stretch of the imagination. I just happen to have a friend who is godlike at this game. It's very rare that he loses in 1v1, though a little more commonplace in a four-way or three-way battle.
To the point, out of 200+ 1v1 matches I've played with him, I've never won. I can beat the people who are lucky enough to beat him on occasion, so it's a matter of mismatching. I've come close many times, sometimes to the point of utter frustation.
So... does that count?

To be perfectly Honest about this when i was little i had a real hard time fighting Paul in Tekken 3 just my fighting style was opposite to his and he always had the advantage with whoever i played as.
Umm the final boss in Resident evil 5 was pretty hard for me mostly because i ran out of Ammo though and was beating him weakly with a Stun Rod.
CPC8... Makin' it happen

Hmm. I don't know for sure, but I've come across many bosses or boss-like enemies that I've lost to over a dozen times. All I can say is that I have a tendency to getting crushed like nothing in God of War (although I played only Spartan or God mode).
I say lady yunalesca is the hardest just trying to escape her death attacks along side of healing is hard.
Lost a good many time of worth 2 hours
Has anyone played the game Ninja? (also known as N+)
Over 1000. Great game.
Y'know there is a way around her Megadeath (lol) attack. If you summon an aeon before you kill her second form and defeat it with that aeon, it wont get affetced by Megadeath when she truns into her face/head form.
On topic now and i know i've already posted in here but i feel that my previous efforts (of failings) have been surpassed by the Elder Wyrm in FF XII. seriously i've never repeatedly come so close to winning only to be wiped out complety in one go. i only beat it by chance, all of my party had been KO'd except for Bashe who had the Oil status problem and the wyrm used fireball which he miraculasly blocked, countered and then slew the big green bastard.

When I was younger, Jun from Tekken 2 who if I didn't beat first time around, would just continue handing my backside to me even on the easiest game setting. Not sure what that was all about.
Probably Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. I kept falling off the ledges when i played late at night . However, when I was really young, I died a lot in the 2nd Crash Bandicoot.
Yes. Hell of a game, but hard as hell.
I can't really say which game I died the most on. I'd like to avoid fighting games because it's a lot easier to lose than on other games.
However, the one I'd like to say is, off the top of my head, Grand Theft Auto III. There was this one mission where you had to retrieve a car and drive away while a ton of suicide bombers ran after you. Two bombs later the car explodes, the mission is failed and you are dead. Not to mention the other missions.
Prince of persia, rival swords. Fun game, no real complaints about it, but almost all of the time spent with the game is just trial and error on getting through areas. In my case, mostly error. So much repetative death in an attempt to get a good look at everything to plan out my next moves. So many unique ways to screw up and kill yourself with a rather lame fall.

Blessed are the Artists, for in their hands the impossible is made real. Blessed are the Musicians, for in their ears they hear the music of the soul. Blessed are the Sleepless, as they bask in wakeful dreaming. Blessed are the Paranoid, ever-watchful for our enemies. Blessed are the Visionaries, for their eyes see what might be. Blessed are the Painlovers, for in their suffering, we grow stronger. Blessed is the Madgod, who tricks us when we are foolish, punishes us when we are wrong, tortures us when we are unmindful, and loves us in our imperfection.
The game I've died the most on huh?

The game I've died the most? Counter Strike for sure. I couldn't even move my feet. The enemies immediatelly kill me after I try to do a thing, which means I die for after about 1 second of play.
Playing Demon's Souls for the first time, I died no less than twenty times on the first part alone. I honestly sucked at it to begin with. The game is a very evil teacher: it teaches you by killing you mercilessly. Still, I learned from it. I can now play through a first playthrough with, at maximum, five deaths (not counting PvP).

very late, but urghhskdjfhoSUHFwdef Demyx did my head in to, the timer running out all the bloody time drove me insane
WHY i thought it would be a good idea to play the game the first (and only) time I ever played it was a good idea... uff
I knew i was asking for trouble when i died at the start of the game on axel ):<
I'm not sure if I should count games in which you can easily be killed, fighting games or early platformers for that matter, I would say Contra III, but that game had some serious issues with difficulty.
Wouldn't be far of if I said Dragon Age Origins, it's hard as hell. Started my first playthrough just recently, and I already lost count how many times I've fallen.
Sig and Avy made by Unknown Entity
I have most likely died more times playing Sonic games than any other game. The Mega Man games would come in as a close second. I never bothered to count how many times. Knuckles was my favorite out of all Sonic characters. When he finally turned, sort of speak, I finally said 'great'. I spent the same amount of time dying as I did playing through casino levels, only to get a mass insane amount of rings. I also ended up dying every time I had to go back levels only to attempt at getting every jewel.
Sonic Spinball was really bad for me in this. I was even good at pinball, but the trick for me was to get the right eye and hand coordination, which my coordination is better suited for games like Wii Tennis and Bowling. This is why Sonic games rank as one of my all time favorites. It was a headache sometimes. If I ever go back, just for enjoyment of exercising my brain, it'll be one on UMD. `````
