What are the chances of offing myself tonight?

Literally a few hours before thanksgiving day, I happened to give my xbox a lovetap that was sitting nearby my foot while playing some Black Ops, and now this happened.



Knowing that there is no way in hell I can even attempt to get this situation rectified before monday, what are the chances I kill myself tonight?

It wasn't on purpose, ruhtard. It's not like I was mad and kicked something, it was near my foot and I stretched out a bit and laserburned my disc and my box. And you're right, its not funny, hence me posting in a nonfunny manner.

I will try the qtip trick when I get home since I got it to overheat, but the premise with all these tricks is it just fools your box thinking that it really overheated when it isnt, and they dont last all that long. I'll still have to send it off after break but at least I will be able to tell if my disc is damaged as well.

At least your game didn't get eaten all to hell when you did it. I accidentally bumped mine one time, and it made the loudest nastiest sound ever. I opened it and I had never seen so many scratches and rings before.

One time I got angry at my XBox because it wouldn't run my Morrowind: GOTY edition properly, so I slapped it. It stopped working, gave me the red ring of death. That wasn't intelligent of me (although if it were an NES, it might have helped.)

Get all the dust out of your xbox for one. Next don't touch it for over a day. If it's stilled screwed up you can try changing out the fan but then that is violating some sort of terms I guess.
