    Vagrant Story Question

I started this game, but didn't get very far yet. I want to go back.

My question is, now that I'm playing FF12, is how, where, and when in Ivalice does Vagrant Story take place? Are there overlapping locations or other crossover elements? I know there aren't any big ties, but any subtleties to look for?

My guess is that the story takes place in a Kingdom not mentioned in FFXII and FFT. Although FFXII has references to VS. Also since Ivalice is a huge world. The events in FFT are at a different section of Ivalice. Ivalice is probably my favorite thing Final Fantasy has created.

Just search around for more info about the connections. Might find something interesting.

Well...if you take the indications of Final Fantasy XII, the place where the future Vagrant Story will take place is on the Valendia continent, which is shared between the two although it may imply a considerable shift in geopolitical location between the suggested shared timelines.

Consider that Final Fantasy XII is considered to be somewhere between 2000 years apart from Vagrant Story (if the concept of a shared timeline proves true), taking into account the foundation of the Light of Kiltia, the Cataclysm that erases the first Age, the amount of ages between the Cataclysm and the War of the Lions, and the eventual retelling of the latter by Arazlam Durai. There's also a bit of info in Vagrant Story that implies a 2000 year old difference between the current age and the foundation of Kiltia, if taken as either the main sect or a splinter sect of the Light of Kiltia. Considering the relative popularity of Arazlam so as to make an early quote in Vagrant Story, it should be somewhere after Arazlam's development as a philosopher and historian (and quite probably after the publication of the books about the War of the Lions).

    The Final Boss Theorem:
The size of the ultimate form of the final boss is inversely proportional to it's chances of actually beating your party. If you agree with this, please copy and paste this valuable piece of info on your sig. AND, if you're evil and villainous...never settle for a big form when a smaller form is more kickass...

'Tis a shame I can only place names now...:
