Trails in the Sky The 3rd Getting English Release

X Seed had two big announcements today for Legend of Heroes fans. The third part in the Trails in the Sky trilogy has been confirmed for an English release. The first two games received PSP releases with the first game also having a PC release and the second expected. They announced today that the third one will be coming to PC in 2017. Currently, there does not seem to be plans for a PSP release.

Additionally, while already known, no date or window was given for the sequel to Trails of Cold Steel. They have now revealed that it will be out in the fall for both PS3 and Vita.

I'm surprised they already have a set date for the final chapter, XSEED is definitely putting the translations to work as of late. I still have yet to beat the first chapter but I don't have a compatible computer to play the game at the moment.

You should check out the song "Dreamy and boisterous holy land" on YouTube from the 3rd, it's quite the song.

Yeah, given how long that they spent on the first two games and how much they destroyed people's lives translating them, it is surprise the third is coming out so fast. But I don't know if the third's script is as meaty as the second game, which was a little bonkers in terms of a translation effort. When I get some free time I plan on playing the games, I got Cold Steel with the intent on playing it last month, but that hasn't panned out. My busy schedule.

I hope XSEED will get on board with YS VIII's translation as soon as both come out. Given the schedule for those games it's likely we may be seeing a translation for the vita version first before ps4 since the ps4 one comes out 2017 in Japan. The vita one is slated for this year.
