I played this one myself too, its my newest PS3 game. I can't really tell you how far you are because i'm only in the beginning segment of the game at the moment. Though I can ask you, are your characters in their childhood right now?
Great game so far, loving the battle system and 'titles'. Apparantly this is a recurring theme to 'tales' games , yet this is my firs tales game so Im enjoying it for the first time. Story is interesting, characters are great, landscapes are great, great variety of items and the dualizing and mixer features are really cool. There is something a little off about the game though, I cant quite put my finger on. Whether or not it may feel void of people at times (especially in towns), whether the dungeons and quests are too simplistic, I cant really say. Im upto the part in which I need to travel though fendal and it seems something is up with sophie. How far through the game am I at this point?

I got the Platinum for Graces, so I'd probably be able to answer your question about how far you are in the story with a little more information on the story at your point. I don't want to spoil things, but saying something is wrong with Sophie unfortunately doesn't completely narrow things down. If you can say who is in your party that would probably help me out a lot in figuring out the point in the story that you are.
Reoccurring theme, I'm guessing you're referring to the type of combat? If so, yes the recent Tales games all use similar combat. Though it does seem that what they created in Graces is being used in Xillia and Xillia 2 as well with some modifications. So they are surprisingly close to Graces. Abyss is pretty close as well, but it has true movement control rather than linear movement based on your enemy. Legendia actually used a side scrolling combat, which comes out as the odd one in the group of recent Tales games. So if you like Graces, you should also enjoy Xillia coming out soon and previous Tales games like Vesperia and Abyss.

Exactly what Andro says. What I have to add about the Tales games is that if you really want to get into the series, start with Phantasia, that is a GREAT title. It is the very first game in the series, good storyline which has the feel of an FF game, and a good cast of characters and skill sets. You can find it on GBA which doesn't have the best dubbing, however you can always import any remakes that are available for ToP.

Well theres gonna be SPOILERS for people who havnt got this far yet, so please refrain from reading any furthar as I dont like using the black bar to block text.
We have just learned that pascal is an amarcian and we are not travelling through the snowy mountains looking for her sister at the laboratory. I bought the glasses pack and put the black rimmed ones on sheria, they suit her well. Mainly because I think her eyes look a little... spaced...
Ah ok, I thought you might be around there. Depending on your pacing, I'd say you're about 70% of the way through the game. You probably have another 10 hours or 15 maybe for the main story, then another 10 hours or so for the epilogue story.

If I remember right from my playthroughs, I think I spent 50 hours total on the game before I started my platinum work. Which is pretty good length all things said. I'm generally pretty happy when a RPG hits 40 hours for just the story. I think I ended up putting like 150 hours in the game.
