Last week, Square Enix released a new game for the iOS platform. The game, Symphonica, is a rhythm based game with the player acting in the role of the conductor of an orchestra. The game comes from the developer iNiS, the creators behind the DS game Elite Beat Agents.
There is a total of 12 chapters to the game with a main story along with bonus content split into chapters. The gameplay is described like many rhythm based games, but that since the player is the conductor it is less about the exactness on where things appear on screen and more about keeping the tempo. The conductor directs the music rather than plays it. So it makes sense.
In addition to the music component, there is a story involving several characters, with the main character Takt wants to bring an underdog group of musicians to the top and face his brother, who seems to have strayed from the side of good.
The first 4 chapters are available for free to download with additional chapters having a cost. There are several bundle packages for the game to suit different tastes and means of consumption.
Curious? There's no limits but your own imagination.
