Well what specific genre are you looking for?
I'll just throw out a few of my favorites until I get a little more info.
Mass effect, mirrors edge, bastion, elder scrolls (oblivion and skyrim), braid, Fear, and I'll throw in fable 3 for fun.

I'll look through my games when I get home.
Catherine is a puzzle game.
Your constantly fighting between the love of two girls and you ultimately decide who you end up with.
In between the days of decision makes you have to navigate through a puzzle up blocks climbing upwards. It starts out easy like pulling blocks back an forth, side to side and progressively gets harder adding mine blocks, enemies, ice blocks etc.
Pretty sweet game if I do say so myself.
well infinate undiscovery is a rpg from squarenix......30 hours of stoyline....so tons of gameplay......
In Infinite Undiscovery, players are drawn into a real-time world woven of countless threads where their choices spin untold discoveries. The actions taken by the player with each discovery have a real-time impact on the world. Situational Battles: Players are confronted with a variety of dramatic “situational battles” such as executing a daring escape while a gigantic ogre follows in hot pursuit, or waging battle amidst towering tidal waves. The dynamic environments change and respond in real-time to player commands, creating an entirely new experience never before seen in the genre. A Seamless World and Real-time Action: Combat, exploration, and other actions all take place within the same environment, seamlessly shifting between each game facet. Battles are carried out in real-time, bringing the vibrant fighting sequences of the STAR OCEAN series out of the traditional battle screen into a beautiful and lush environment.
some reviews are.....
Overall Infinite Undiscovery is a very enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is either a Square Enix, Tri-Ace or just an role playing game fan in general.
This is one of the best rpg's i have ever played. I really like RPG's but they tend to drag out and i lose interest in them. But IF kept me hooked with the amazing story and maybe the best combat mechanics i have ever seen and not just in the RPG catagory. I can not recommend this game enough it is simply amazing on ever level. Look the game has a low score (even though i don't care for revews) If you are still iffy about getting this give it a rent. The game is worth a try and in my opinion deffinitly worth a buy.…
i am so waiting for mass effect3 too it comes out the day before my bday lol
i have other games for ya too.....
the Last Remnant.
Batman arkham city
any assassin's creed
oh i almost forgot..... catherine
is a horror puzzle-platformer adventure game developed by Atlus Persona Team and published by Atlus
Players control a man named Vincent who begins having strange nightmares after his girlfriend, Katherine, begins to talk about marriage and commitment. This matter becomes more complicated for him when he meets a gorgeous girl named Catherine and the nightmares get more and more intense. The main story mode, Golden Playhouse, follows the story between Daytime and Nightmare scenarios. During the daytime, Vincent will converse with his friends as well as try to handle his relationships with Catherine and Katherine. Most of this time takes place in the Stray Sheep bar where Vincent can save and send text messages from his mobile phone, talk to customers, order drinks, play a minigame titled Rapunzel or listen to a jukebox containing tracks from other Atlus games such as the Persona series.
The main gameplay takes place in the Nightmare stages. In a nightmarish dreamworld inhabited by other men, who are represented as sheep, Vincent must climb up giant staircases that are slowly collapsing underneath him and safely reach the top. To accomplish this, Vincent must push, pull and climb blocks as quickly as possible while avoiding various traps such as spikes and ice. Climbing up steps in quick succession increases a score multiplier, and at the end of the level, players are given an award based on their score. Each stage is split up into numerous areas, culminating in a boss stage in which a nightmarish creature also attempts to kill Vincent. Items found throughout the levels include pillows which give extra lives, block items that can be placed anywhere in the level and lightning that can destroy sheep which block Vincent's path. There are also certain attributes Vincent can get depending on what he drinks during the day.Vincent will die if he falls off the bottom of the level, gets caught by a trap or is killed by a boss, with the game ending if Vincent runs out of retry pillows. In between action stages, Vincent can interact with the other sheep, save his game, learn techniques or spend coins on special items. When playing on easy and normal difficulty, players can push the Select/Back button to correct a single block move.
Throughout the game, the choices the player makes during certain sections of the game will affect the development of Vincent's character and the route the story takes place. These can occur in several ways, such as how Vincent types out a text message to one of the girls, or how he responds to certain questions. The game will feature multiple endings based on the route Vincent takes, and has over twenty hours of gameplay. The game also features a non-linear morality system much more subtle than most other games. Instead of choosing Vincent's reaction at major plot points, the morality meter is affected by responses to seemingly insignificant questions posed by non-player characters, which in turn dictates how Vincent reacts to unexpected situations.Babel Mode features four large stages playable with up to two players, while Vs Colosseum features two players simultaneously playing a stage in order to reach the top first
i know this is kinda long but i hope i have helped you .....

Yeah haha, might be a good thing i gave you a shorter version of Catherine haha.
Anyways i don't have much for you I'm afraid.
Metro 2033 is an extremely good FPS, has a pretty unique story line.
Post apocalyptic Russia, fighting off mutant animals, with a slight taste of aliens.
Its a very dark and nitty gritty game. You are alone most of the time, i wouldn't exactly say a "scary" game, but it can get to you at times.
Other than the few encounters with aliens, nothing else about the game is really sci-fi.
Too Human is another game i feel is under rated, pretty much just a hack'n'slash with a taste of RPG. 5 different classes to choose and advance along the game. Also able to customize the items you pick up by color and effects. It has a multiplayer, though i don't know how many people play it these days.
"he story is a science-fictional futuristic retelling of Norse mythology that portrays the Ęsir (Norse Gods) as cybernetic-enhanced humans, tasked with protecting mankind from the onslaught of Loki's army of machines. The player takes the role of the Norse God Baldur, who is less cybernetic than the other Gods, thus being "too human". "
Thats about the shortest description i can give you about the story without going too in depth.
Dead island is another action RPG. More of a FPS/RPG. Pretty much a zombie outbreak happens on an island while your on vacation, work, etc, depending on the class you choose.
Each class has 3 different skill trees to choose from, you can level out to max out most of the 3, but a basic run through of the game you'll only get through maybe 1 1/2.
The story isn't much, but its a beautiful game, with plenty of action. It has multiplayer also.
Lost planet was a favorite of mine. Its just a third person shooter, with a okay story line. I don't know what it is about the game, it just felt so unique to me when i first played it.
The ones i mentioned earlier
Mirrors Edge like i mentioned is primarily a Speed Run game, but its pretty sweet even if you aren't into those kinds of games. I know i'm not and i enjoyed them game. Its pretty much parkour as button combos to run and jump off walls, buildings, construction, and end up kicking someone in the face at the end of the combo. Story line is pretty good if you follow it, not great, but good.
Torchlight has a XBLA version, its pretty much like Diablo just a bit more childish. Brighter colors, no blood (or at least not that i remember). Still fun
Braid is a puzzle game, you control time to get through the level and collect keys and paintings to continue on. The story is extremely interesting if you follow it.
Bastion is hack'n'slash with a hint of RPG, being able to upgrade weapons throughout the game. Interesting story as well, has a really neat narrator throughout the game.
Fear is a horror/shooter. A 14(16?) girl gives birth to two sons with extreme psychic powers, go through the game trying to stop your dead mothers wrath.
Yeah, i dunno. I don't play many JRPG's on the 360. Mostly shooters.

CoD:MW3..... Come at me bro. But seriously I went, and bought this game just so I would have something to play with my friends. I have Gears 3, but none of my friends ever play it. Well Black Waltz who is a member here plays, but we are rarely on at the same time.
I couldn't really recommend a game that I think you would like without knowing what kind of shit you are into.
Take it back and get a ps3. It sounds like you're not interested in games like MF3, in which cause you should have purchased a ps3.
If you like puzzle games I would suggest ilomilo:
ilomlilo
It's a really cute (LPB vibed but not the same) game. It'll keep you busy and entertained.
It's probably the only game right now that makes me want an xbox. I'll just wait until it is released on PS3 like Limbo
DAMN when i asked for suggestions I got them... where to start....
umm dead island look's cool i'm getting that for christmas, that puzzle game look's alright iv'e played portal so i'm into that sort of mind-numbed stuff, errr assains creed liked the first one then it sslowly lost the assain in it's name it's more fight less stealth now, metro 2033 sound's good and so does that undiscovered might have to get them anyway guy's thanks alot... plus i'm starting a mass effect 3 "what do you think will happen" thread so if you like mass effect that's where you want to go thanks keep posting suggestion's and if anyone else need's help on what they might get i'll try and contribute to it.
