Square unveiling new title monday

This coming monday, Square-Enix is going reveal an unannounced title. Not much else is said on the matter but it should be pretty interesting what Square should have in store. Feel free to make predictions on what this mysterious game is.

I'm going to go ahead and predict that it isn't an FFVII remake.

I've never played any other Square games besides FF and KH so I can't say I'm feeling pessimistic, though FFXIII wasn't too great. Not awful in my opinion but not great. But they might surprise us...

Honestly, I couldn't guess what it could be. Nier 2? Pfft, it might make me finish Nier after all this time. I also don't mind if it's another sequel, just as long as it doesn't suck.

How about a break away deal from the creators of xenosaga and capcom and square gets to make it as it should be and its epic like xenogears was with out the over shadow of the over rated FFVII. Oh only I can dream that big. Would be to epic.

Probably some craptacular sequal to make a quick buck.

Tactics would be an awesome title for an epic sequal for square to do to redeem so sorts of honor they use to have but then again thatsb dreaming too.

Um... I'll wait and see what it is. It might be cool. I haven't been hugely impressed with most of Square Enix's latest releases that I've played, but I won't give up hope just yet. Still need to try out FFXIII-2. Anyhoo...

Anyway, I don't have any guesses. I prefer to wait until games have been out for a long while before I play them. The only reason I played XIII on Day 1 was because I had the money for it.

And it can't be a VII remake. I have been assured that it won't happen until after I finally finish playing the copy I have. So all you fanboys and fangirls are going to have to wait. Heehee (yeah, that's my evil laugh)!

Why would Capcom get involved? Monolith Soft is apart of Nintendo now. Instead of re-doing the whole of Xenosaga. How about giving us Episode 1, or any of the episodes, before or after Xenogears.


There was that one trailer recently released that seemed could turn out to be a tactical game. Perhaps the unveiling will be of that game.

I'm staying optimistic in this one. The last time Squeenix pulled out a new game aside from their usual franchises was Nier, and it turned out to be one of my favourite games of all time.

As horrible as it sounds, I hope it isn't an FF title. I am hoping, however, that it is Kingdom Hearts 3. Although, that may be a little too much optimism.

I also can't believe how worked up everyone is getting. There's always so much pessimism where Squeenix is involved. They have surprised us in the past, and quite frankly, I think they are going to do it again.

I'm not understanding this. Xenosaga had the same director, scenario writer, artists, and composer as Xenogears. Having Square do it would be the opposite of wanting it to be like Xenogears.

And I don't see how Capcom is involved in this.


On topic though, I'm looking foward to this. I don't even care if it's some disappointment.

I'm still waiting for FF7 remake though! I won't rest until it comes.

I also think that all of these KH fans have been waiting too damn long for KH3. I'm getting tired of all the complaints. Shut them up already and release it! Just don't pack it full of ****ing DLC content. That's another disappointing thing that Square has dipped their greedy hands into. Forgive the harshness of my post. I just have a lot of pent up rage about DLC and square right now.

Whatever it is, it had better be good. Either that or they'll have many many more disappointed fans than usual.

Kingdom Hearts 1 was also a squaresoft title. You may have seen it on FFX-2, KH2, and FFXII.

I still disagree with Squeenix ruining FF because I loved XII, Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus. I can see why some may not like it though, they have changed FF and crossed it into more genres rather than the classic RPG style that everyone knows and loves. I don't think this is a bad thing however.
