The name has been announced for the light novel RPG, it will be known as Schoolgirl Strikers and it will be a Free-To-Play mobile game. Schoolgirl Strikers Is Square Enix's Light Novel-Style RPG - Siliconera
Originally believed to be another April's Fool joke has turned out be a serious announcement by Square Enix. They will be developing a new RPG that is described as a light novel style-RPG, which has made more questions than answers for what sort of game it will be. Light novels are popular format in Japan for novels which are meant to be easy to consume and understand with less complex Japanese, but also often will have insert art related to the scene the page is on or the events of the chapter. It is not a picture book, as it will have fewer than ten art inserts typically and will easily be 200 pages on. But such novels tend to be adapted into manga and anime quite often, many current popular series started out as light novels.
How this translates into an RPG by Square Enix is unknown. Little details is know about it other than 25 "high profile" voice actors will be in the game, something that will draw in fans of said voice actors.

Yeah, I got interested until I saw it was a social free-to-play game. Then I knew it would never come over and that I wouldn't want to play it anyway. Disappointing since it might be an interesting idea since it was certainly different.

especially frustrating since they recently stated they were interested in making another heavy RPG.
This game was likely long in development before that statement was made. So I wouldn't hold this game to that interview. New games going forward that we see next year and out would be affected by it, if they keep to their interview.

I foresee that Schoolgirl RPG being a quirky Square-Enix title, they have made a quirky title before by the name of Dynami Tracer back in the Super Famicom days. I wouldn't be surprised if this has some wacky humor and silly references.
