    Sony's new PlayStation Vita

Here's a little flashback for anyone who missed out on E3 2011. Sony got me again. I didn't know what was coming after the PSP Go, but wow. I'm going to have to make an upgrade from my PSP 3000. These guys as I bet are getting really creative and fun as ever. I'm still hoping one day I might see cyberspace link up and play a smaller FFMORG, perhaps any Vita MORG for that matter. I never bought a XBox 360 or PS3. I moved on to portability after my console history. This link didn't disappoint me one bit. The guys over at G4 finally get something to stare at other than Kristin Holt.

The first two series, for those of you who don't read or know, were 7 volumes total and all for PS2. There was also an 8th; it was called .hack//Fragment Offline. A lot of people didn't know that I bet. Has anyone read any .hack manga? Re: Sony's new PlayStation Vita

I've read an interview with Shuhei Yoshida on IGN yesterday, it seems Sony learned a lot from their previous "mistakes", I personally don't consider PsP to be a flop at all as I'm proud PsP owner myself, I'm satisfied with both, the device and game library.

PsP Vita looks amazing, I thought the price would be over the roof, glad I'm mistaken. I'm already impressed with the game lineup, Street Fighter x Tekken, Bioshock, LittleBigPlanet, Silent Hill: Book of Memories...I swear if I don't come up with the money for that sweet device by then I'll sell my kidney, I'm serious.

The Vita is one of the best news I've seen. I don't consider it a flop either; however, I think most people would just go to a sperm bank or sell some eggs if they can't fork over the money. It's the new PSP. It's not supposed to be expensive. Keep your kidney. Bioshock for Vita would be nice too.

But it is expensive. It's 250$. ...You call that cheap? That's 50$ short of the Wii. It's the same price as the 3DS. ..I ain't paying 250$ for that. It's just an upgraded, smaller, PSP. Sure it's got more power and stuff... but 250$ is still a little steep.

You can just sell some eggs for around $5,000/pop. Otherwise, you could just wait until it lowers in price like so many other platforms <_<. Personally, I would wait until I could bite the bullet and cash a pay check. I could see it lower than $199.00 after a PSP trade up. It always looks steep to many people until after several months go by. The price lowers, and then the sales jump.

Well considering the 3000 will net 35$ when traded in...yeah, it'll go down a bit. But my 1000 brick? That's only worth 15$. ...And my Wii that I don't use is also 15$. (That's without the promo going on right now... btw. With promo they'd be $40 each. Which...isn't bad for the PSP, but for Wii? I could probably get 80 for it. >.>)

..I am not trading them in. Lol. Hell, my Dragon Age 2 that I don't play anymore... 14$. >_> And that's credit...

They have to resell it for the going rate used price, pay employees to take it in, and sell it, and still make a profit after paying you and their employee(s), of course they gouge you.

Craigslist ftw. I've sold my Wii, DS Lite, all my Wii games, DS and GBA games, and all my 360 games I didn't want to replay for quite a bit more than GS would give you in trade, much less cash, and it's win-win for the person buying it because they get it less than it would cost them to go to Gamestop for it.

That said, I haven't seen the appeal of portable gaming since.... the gameboy color. The games are always too short, I can't play them for long without getting a neck cramp, and the "perk" or portability is made even more moot by the fact that laptops exist with ample battery life and the ability to play games on larger screens, as well as movies, tv shows, etc.

    Re: Sony's new PlayStation Vita

Am I right in thinking that this new PSP Vita doesn't use UMD's?

I am not keen on only being able to play games that have to be downloaded first. (unless they are on PC), as I keep running out of memory.

I'm betting that it'll be UMD BC. Why not? Nintendo's Wii U is supposed to be BC.

Just thinking of Microsoft's X-Box 360. Seeing how it doesn't particularly play X-Box original games too well.

It will play them, just with no sound.....at all. (saw a friend's X-Box 360)

    Re: Sony's new PlayStation Vita

I'm personally excited about this alot, I love my psp. I would never consider the psp a flop, it might not have sold as much as the DS, but it's a great device and its game library is also amazing. I have high hopes for what this new Vita can do and for the games it will get.

As for the price, it is expensive, especially compared to the Wii, but let's be honest, nothing's cheap anymore. The 3DS is, if I'm not mistaken, is also $250 and true, you can wait, but the point is games and consoles are getting more and more expensive as time goes by.

That's because it's Microsoft. They are now looking back at their Kinect. The PS Vita looks like the overall play is just fun; I am going to have a new pet. Other than that, here's the recap for people who missed E3 2011.
