So the Wii U is now available

Anyone picked up a Wii U yet? I got mine already and it is pretty good. Sure they are catching up to the HD field but the system is already has amazing features and the ability to play games WITHOUT the TV which is pretty neat (not every game is going to support the no TV function of course). My favorite part of the console would have to be the interactivity with the system. Its really easy to touch something on the screen and have that application pop up, I haven't tried the video chat yet but I have hopes it works out pretty nicely. I tried out the Nintendoland game that was bundled with my system and it was really enjoyable, It really takes on the creativity of the system and I find myself spending a lot of my time playing each of the game attractions.

If you actually bought the system or pre-ordered it prior to release, what do you think of the system having actual hands-on experience?

What solid titles is it worth getting for, other than the interactive family ones? I was really hoping to see a new Zelda game for it. Stuff like Conker's Bad Fur Day, Mario in full 3d or a nice fps shooter would be cool. FF games would be cool as well.

Well if you like Assassin's Creed theres that, New Super Mario Bros U is actually really cool (i haven't played it myself) but the gameplay I watched from it is really good, its not just your simple new super mario bros game, effort has been put into it. There is the Mighty Switch Force game you can download from the eshop channel for 9.99 which seems to be a platform shooter game, Pikmin 3 is on its way to the system if you played the previous titles if not it might be something worth looking into. Ninja Gaiden 3 is a pretty decent game, I played a demo from another platform, I read that issues in the previous versions were fixed in the Wii U version. If you like 007 games, Skyfall is coming out for it. Also there is Black Ops 2 if you're into COD.

It is backwards compatible with Wii titles so you can back up your save data from your Wii and transfer it all to the Wii U. If there are any Wii titles you really wanted to play that you missed out on (i.e. The Last Story), you'll still get the opportunity with the Wii U. You can also access the Wii Shop channel from the Wii U menu (they have a Wii menu app that takes you to the original one) and you can get all the VC and Wii Shop titles.

Maybe for Skyfall and Skyward Sword, but is it a worthy Zelda title? Mario Bros is always cool as well.

Its a pretty good zelda title, the only things you'll need to look out for in Skyward Sword is the glitch that destroys your file which happens if you do something a certain way near the end of the game, in fact if you buy the game, just make sure to immediately download the save patch from the Wii Shop Channel (its free) and that will remove any worries of that issue. 2nd thing you'll need to remember is that there will be alot of repeated exploration in the areas of the game, but there will be new challenges and creative dungeon puzzles to explore. Other than that I find it a really enjoyable game with a lot of features, sidequests, and you can refight any boss battle when you get to a certain point in the game to do so.

Make sure to play this with a recharge station if you intend on spending a lot of hours into the game, its 75 hours of gameplay I heard. In fact its smart to have 2 Wii remote pluses set in the recharge station and when one needs to be recharged you just take the other one out and continue playing.

I believe its complete rubbish, the controller is waaaaay to big and very uncomfortable to have to hold. Also its multiplayer is like the gamecube linking to the gameboy advance. One player sitting on the side lines helping others while watching them have fun. I hope for better than worse from this but Im not expecting much!
