What? No topic on this? I just got my copy today. Traded in Uncharted 3 for 35.10$ so it was only 27$ for Skyrim. <3 http://i.imgur.com/tT5QH.jpg
So what's the best class to be?

The best class is "you're an as*hole for not buying Demon's Souls to play with me which is only 20 bucks and 17 used"
In other news, I'm thinking about picking this up, but of course, I must wait because eveyone is playing it. Not my style to play along with everyone else
I have been playing this for a while. I have cleared all questlines except for the College of Winterhold. Only reason I haven't yet cleared it is because at a certain part of the last mission my game has hardcore glitched, and nothing happens.
I am Khajiit right now. Always my first play through character.
There aren't classes Chett.
Skills and Perks.
I don't play it a lot, but when I do I play for a good amount. I like how they added crafting into the game. Companions are way way way better in this one.

I like that they added crafting of weapons at smith's. But I don't like that they got rid of having to do the upkeep on my weapons. I would of liked creating my weapons, upgrading, and doing the repairs to them at the smith. Not a fan of getting rid of it.
I like that I don't have to pick certain classes anymore. I'm going hard battlemage on some bitches. Flame in one hand, daedric sword in the other.
Well, classes in Oblivion were pointless since the best option is to still create your own class.

I've been too busy playing Skyrim to create a thread for Skyrim.
Sorry.
Level 54 with 50 hours played. Somewhere in the halfway-ish point of primary storyline quests (according to a friend who has finished said quests and now roams the world as Dovahkiin). Fair amount of sidequests done... maybe about a third or so. LOTS of the miscellaneous quests completed. Ton of time spent sneaking all around the lands of Skyrim to load my map up with too many fast travel icons to count (seriously, it's well over 100 now).
So yeah... too busy playing Skyrim for thread about Skyrim :3
Rhyvanna, wood elf
The whole album is public - only five pictures in there at the moment... too busy playing Skyrim to take screenshots of Skyrim. Plus, it's hard to share the epic bossfight ones which involve spoilers.

i will be buying skyrim for pc cant wait to be a kajit batle mage
Loving the game. Played about 30 hours, level 16 (not as high as I would like, but anyway). Started as a Nord, been focusing on building him as a tank type. Been building up his Two-handed weapon and Heavy armour, also block and such. He is also a werwolf (which I am actually hoping to cure soon, because I don't like using the beast form).
I have only done like 4 of the main story quests, I have been out seeing the world. The sheer size of Skyrim is phenominal.
Just had to reply, now back to Skyrim...
I'm taking it slow. I love this game, and want to take it slow anyway, but with work and stuff, I just don't get the time any more. =(
I'm level 15, a Breton, and I started off as a battle mage type until I saved up some points, and now I'm more or less going into a mage class (I never know what to be on my first playthrough). Might make a new character tonight and go with a dual wielded thief.
I've finished the Magic College, which I DID think was kind of lame. For a quest line, it alright story wise, but content wise I think they could have done a little more. I'd have liked to see more of a "school lesson" system in place, and I have a few ideas that'd have made it more fun with a certain few spells.
I've killed over ten dragons now too, but have spotted a few more that just wouldn't land. Some have bugged on me too, and I've twice come out of a building to find a dragon corpse infront of me with a belly full off loot. ^^;
At the moment, I've joined the thieves guild. Hoping to save up some more funds for a better house. Need something like 36,000g, and I have just over 30,000 now. The game is actually more fun when you don't have a duplication glitch and vendors with unlimited gold.
I'm a huge Bethesda fan, anybody who knows me can vouch for that. This game has seriously killed my social (with a legendary, enchanted dwemer dagger roused with frostbite poison). I've been constantly tired since I bought it and rarely do much else. (Sorry Lucid) I should be coming on here and getting on with my Rp. Perhaps, dare I say, go out? I mean, it took me several hours and numerous trips to choose a spouse. My god was that a waste of time. Her meals suck, I have nothing to spend the money on and all she does is thank me for helping her a year back. I've resorted to running past her whenever I'm in the house. Or shouting 'SILENCE, WOMAN!' Anyway, my point is that this game, while amazing, is taking over my life.
Currently I play as a male orc who is the spitting image of Vinnie Jones and is thus named... Mikael. He's level 30, enjoys long walks on the beach, chasing butterflies and beating people with twin maces. His only friend, Lydia, was chewed on by a dragon and thown from a mountain (along with his priceless collection of dragon bones). Since then he hasn't trusted another person and goes it alone. He now spends his days with his trusty steed (who, to save heartache, is an immortal nutjob). During his time in Skyrim Mikael has developed burning hatred if children, small inpossibly hard to navigate rocks and people called Cicero.
He's been on numerous adventures and has seen some incredible things. Such as the time he and an argonian woman took on a dragon together on a lonely walk to Windhelm. He felt a certain comradery with the woman. Sadly the argonian died in the battle. This left Mikael to do the only thing he knows- loot her. It was then that he found the note. She had been an assassin hunting for him. So he threw her corpse in the river.
Then there was the time he got married and all his closest erm... I guess they must've been his fiances friends because he'd never seen that scary witch wither tattooed face before. The beauty if the couples day was ruined, however, when the corpse of his friend Lydia turned up (presumably to give back his dragon bones). Now they live in a house in Windhelm where she makes him a pie a day and gives him spending money to blow on dragonflies.
Mikael shall continue his adventures in Skyrim and will strive for better.
Good times.
I actually love this game.

I also picked it up and it has had the same effect on my life. So I've stopped playing it for a few days. It's been fun but without warning of a certain event with a certain faction I've lost all my storage of goodies except for the hundred pounds of stuff I had on my person that easily crippled my drive to play it. I'm sure eventually I will find other things to replace that stash.

Okay. So I encountered the PS3 save glitch when I made a new character. No big deal... FML.
I had to restart. But honestly, I think it's one of the best things I've done. I've gone back into the game with more confidence with what I want to do with my character. I'm currently making my way through the the Mages College yet again with a level 6 Breton, and have over 10,000g in my pocket. I've apparently played for eighteen hours, but I think there's been a lot of standing time. I also simply like exploring...
I've also decided on the side I'd wish to take (Imperial or Stormcloak). I had a chance to listen to the story and conversation more, and have read a few books which have influenced my choice.
WARNING: SPOILERS. You've been WARNED.:
I chose the Stormcloaks initially.
SPOILER!!:
Anyway:
I'm lvl45, full legendary daedric weapons, full flawless nightengale/thieves guild armor/shroud armor. Waiting on my enchanting to catch up so I can potion/enchant +enchanting to weapons and armor to get 100 Smithing so I can turn the flawless into Legendary.
Think I will start a new character. Not sure what combat route I'd like to take. I like sneaking and stuff. I switched from Archery at 71 to One hand daggers (for sneak) at like lvl32, so my skill sucked. Archery was great, but I definitely should have made it a secondary skill isntead of main imo.

Bretons for the win, can't beat that snazzy 50% resist magic
this was my first midnight release in years and i stood outside in the freaking cold for 2 hours waiting for midnight and then another 2 hours waiting in line for my copy of this masterpiece of epicness. I have been asked if getting sick from standing outside that long in the cold was worth it, HELL FRIGGIN YEAH IT WAS!!!! Plus i got to stay home and play it more This is the best game i have come across since i got mass effect 2. I only stopped playin skyrim for a couple of days cause i got saints row the third... good game.... and cause of work..... i am currently doing the college quests. i dunno how many places ive found or side quests iv'e done..... all i know is this game is awesome!

I always believe defense wins championships. But didn't they switch Bretons to resist magic only 25% in this one? I could be wrong but I thought I read they switched it.
Also I think it's in the alteration tree you can absorb spells 30% to turn back into magic. Which I don't even use alteration but it's a great idea.
My guy is level 50. I haven't even done the main quest or anything other than the Mages College. I'm sort of split on how I play. I wear armor and have a shield but I really just keep my shield up, conjure or use destruction. Then since they're double teamed I can back off and use my restoration. So no swords or flashy stuff really. I think people would hate to play the way I do. But I came up with the build in Oblivion so I just ported it over really.
I'm waiting to make enchantments until I get the dragon armor. I really haven't looked too far into what I can put on an enchantments. I hope there's something like a mundane ring....that'd be nice. But guess I'll see when I get there.

yeah the mundane ring was mint in the last game like i said 50% resist turned into 100% my breton was practiclly invincible on my ther game, i like dragon armour i think i got it at lv 28 but it has kinda plain, so i switched to daedric once i got enough daedra hearts, i my self go on in head first with dual blades it works quite well untill you get raped by 100 draguar deathlords, and no it's still 50% it say's on the loading screen's
i love this game so much.....im currently being the college of winterhold's beotch right now.....nothing like being a arrend boy in skyrim with danger around almost every bend lol ..........so much better than new vegas

Great game, still think Morrowind takes the cake for me.
I gave up after beating the main quest with all of the great releases lately (skyward sword, uncharted, halo anniversary) to much is taking to much time away from it. I'll probably come back sooner or later.
Only thing I have any qualms with is the final mainline quest. Won't go into to any detail for those who haven't beat it. But I found it quite a bore.
Kinda feel like the ship has sailed on this one...
I preordered the collector's edition, but I went to a show on 11/10/11, so I couldn't go to the midnight release party. Took it and my system over to a friend's house on 11/11/11, played it over the weekend, absolutely loved it. Beat the main quest line about a week ago, played a little while more, and the excitement for/obsession with it has kinda run its course with me at this point. While I'm still playing it every once in a while, and I kinda want to complete the trophy list, I think I'm a bit burned out (probably because I'm trying to complete the trophy list, instead of just messing around.)
Playing it on easy because I'm a n00b, and I kinda didn't enjoy getting my ass kicked all the time. My character reached level 32 on like 4th or 5th day, and has only progressed 4 levels since then. Used bows and arrows, sneak, and one handed the most. Did the Dark Brotherhood, Companion's Guild, Thieve's Guild, and Stormcloaks (didn't like how the Imperials were gonna cut my head off at the start.)
Some fun things I did: killed a merchant on my first visit to Whiterun because he was an ass. Then there was that snobby Redguard walking around Whiterun who rubbed me the wrong way, so I hid in the shadows and shot him full of arrows, whilst he and his wife kept running right past me, unaware. Took 15 minutes to sneak kill this one ghost guy too in some tomb. Clearly outmatched, but the things you can do when you're stubborn and persistent. On that same note, shot a giant, then ran to the tower, hid in there, and shot him until he was dead, whilst he tried to get to me the whole time. Maniacal giggling ensued. (These were all before I turned the difficulty down. Even still, I'm sure these things are probably unimpressive. Oh well.)
So what were everyone's favorite places or characters? I thought Blackreach was pretty damn cool to look at. Also thought Paarthurnax was pretty cool.SPOILER!!:
I raged on Skyrim the first week that it came out right now I am just waiting for DLC to come out. I have nothing left to do anymore. So I am currently on a bit of a hiatus. I will return to it though.
Khajiit Lvl: 69 legit(81 with Oghma glitch)
Breton LVl: 55 legit ^
Would like to note that i got my 4 disc signed copy of the soundtrack today! Great stuff.
The only reason I don't have this yet is because Mummy Dearest said I'm not allowed to, as she has got me it for Crimbo.
Looks awesome, and from what I've read so far, most of it seems an improvement on Oblivion. One question though: is levelling as frustrating as it is in Oblivion?
