    saving games in certain rpgs

have any of you experienced this in certain rpgs where you save and then you get killed and when you load your last save you automatically get killed again due to enemies spawning exactly where you're at?

it probably happens in other genres too, if thats the cast, have you experienced this sort of phenomenon? if so what game?

Hm? I don't see how this can happen unless it's a game where you can save anywhere you want, or like quicksaving on an emulator.

    Is that what you mean?

I was thinking that since I'm artificially creating it, I'll create it with rocket fuel instead of blood, and thus it will be able to fly, using the dolphin's dorsal fins as wings. And from the air, it will look down upon us all and protect us against sharks, and search for bananas.

yeah something like that, a game where you can either save anywhere or use quicksave.

Oh lol well, you probably shouldn't have saved in that spot?

I've never had that problem, but to be safe when I'm playing on an emulator for example, I'll quicksave along the way whenever I want, but I also update save on the memory card just to be safe. That way I can go back to a point close to where I am just in case I miss something important.

I think the worst saving related incident i ever had was in an fps. I was playing through the game without really paying too much attention to where i was going and ended up falling to my death off the side of a cliff. Now usually it's not too bad right? just revert to the last checkpoint and all that jazz. My checkpoint was in mid air. Off the side of the cliff. It wasn't really a fun experience.

    The Gargoyle
    SPOILER!!:

    The gargoyle sits, solemnly, alone
    That silent man of stone
Here, for his deeds he must atone

    Beaten eyes stare blankly
    Withered arms curved and wrinkly
    Bat-like wings spread fully

For once he was a man deceitful
His soul decored in black so hateful
From his despair grew pain most vengeful

With his death he was deserted
    Left condemned and desecrated
    Bound to form most understated

And now he is but a statue made of stone
    Sitting all alone

    Star Gaze
    SPOILER!!:
High in the sky, blinking down on us
    We all watch the stars
    Believing, as we do
That friends and lovers long since moved away are staring upwards too
Remembering us as we remember them
Smiling in the light of an unatainable star
And even if the star was snuffed out at that very moment
    We would never know
    We just keep smiling
And believe the star is true

Re: saving games in certain rpgs

This happened to me in Fallout 3. I was gettting ass raped by a group of super mutants, and it autosaved cause I went in a house. I hadn't saved the game about 12 hours of gameplay, so when I died the only file anywhere near it was the autosave. I finally got past the super mutants, damned bastards.

Sitting here waiting for Rocky, and Che to notice me!!
