Same ol Story???

Ok peep this maybe its just me... but i doubt it. Ive played 3 of the four Star ocean games and to me the story always seems to start off the same. Somehow there in the future and something happens most likely they discover a planet/planets that are undeveloped and their futuristic weapons don't work or are ineffective there. I mean dont get me wrong i like playing the games and i think there a bit difficult at times but can we start it off different? I'm just saying

Well Star Ocean games are meant to have a sci-fi feel to them so it would make sense for them to take place in the future and didn't Claude's "light sword" malfunction because of damage?

The question though, for you is, would you want to use those futuristic weapons which would most likely be some form of a gun - then the games would become similar to Resonance of Fate which was made by the same people.

I mean dont get me wrong i like playing the games and i think there a bit difficult at times but can we start it off different? I'm just saying

They won't start it off any different because, as of now Star Ocean: The Last Hope was the last game in the Star Ocean series. It sucks because I would have like to have seen what happens after Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.
