I did some searching and I got this:

Sony will add a new 'Imports' section to the PS Store this month dedicated to the release of previously Japan-only PSOne games.

So confirmes MonkeyPaw Games - via Siliconera - who reports the new section will pop up on September 21 with two games, PSOne shooters 'Cho Aniki' and 'GaiaSeed'.

Also apparently on the way are fighting game Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty and puzzle games Blockids and Magical Drop F.

'Cho Aniki' and 'GaiaSeed' are both horizontal shooters, the former featuring near-naked men and all sorts of typically Japanese madness (screenshots through the source link).

The games are apparently not localised either, so you'll be left to figure your way through Japanese menus, although that shouldn't be too touch for a pair of shooters.

This is somewhat like Nintendo's week-long Hanabi Festivals held periodically on the Wii Shop Channel, during which it makes Japan-only classics available to Euro gamers for the first time.

It's uncertain if this news is just for US or includes other regions.

This makes it disheartening for me; I really want Suikoden II to come out on PSN over in the U.S and not have to buy a used copy for $80 plus. Damn you Konami for not releasing that Suikoden I & II bundle for the PSP in America!
