Ps3 Phantom 'beeping' issue.

Has anyone's ps3 randomly made a beeping noise? I cannot figure out why its doing it. There seems to be no issues with any function of the ps3 and it seems to beep randomly at any time. I've looked this up on google and have found people having similar problems, but alas, no answers as to why its happening. So what I'd like to know is if anyone else is experiencing this minor annoyance and have you been able to pinpoint a solution or reason for the problem?

I used to get that randomly with a phat PS3.
Annoyed me that much I sold it with a warning about the beeps. None of my later PS3s had the same problem and no-one at the tech support could solve it neither.
