I can play my PSone games on it? or ive to rebuy them for the vita via download?
How does it work?
I'll still think ill hold off until they drop the price if i do decide to get one..
This is the day i've been waiting for. All my favourite psone classics on my vita. All final fantasy games within the palm of my hand. mwahahaha.
Naturally, im going to replay ff7 again. I was curious though, for those of you who are going to experience it on the Vita, do you prefer to play it in original resolution with the thick black borders, or do you play with the 'zoom' function and stretch the pixels out to have a full screen. I noticed that due to the blinilear filtering the Vita offers on port games, it doesnt appear to be too bad. What do you think?

Any games attached to your psn account can be downloads and played with the exception of ps2/ps3 titles.
...PSPs already do this? Still don't have a justification to upgrade beyond "ooh, shiny".
A lot of the games don't currently show in the PSN store on the Vita. Unless you live in Europe I believe.
The US store currently has 9.
But you can transfer much more through your PS3 to your Vita.
Correct, in the US, if you want to play most of the PSone PSN library you have to download it on the PS3 and copy it over. They'll be rolling out more on the Vita's PSN store weekly they said. Or if you just own the disc still, you can pop it in and just remote play it. All PSone discs remote play with the Vita and this happened before the update this week.

erhmahgerd, the PS Vita caught up with what PCs have been doing since...1995 but in all seriousness, I don't see the big deal. Just means recycling old games for more money.
What's better than a ps vita that doesn't play psone games? The answer is : a ps vita that does play psone games.
So much hate. Where's the lurrrve?
I prefer DS and PC >_> actually...I just prefer PC lol I just find companies rererereleasing games, milking them so hard to be...well, annoying.
They aren't actually making you repay to play them.
I mean you have to buy one digital copy and you can play it on your PSP, Vita, or PS3.
I find that highly engaging that I don't have to sit next to a computer or TV just to play FFVII, IX, or Legend of Dragoon. Portability just went through the roof.
I really wish they'd put some of the Megaman X games on there though.
Yeah I know right? Do you winge about having to pay for a DVD of a film you already own a VHS of? Do you whing the same about Bly ray version? Stop crying, pay for it.
Personally I love paying Front Mission 3 on the fly, moving it across to the PS3 and then carrying on from where I left off. Might be a cheap thrill but if I'm paying for it I'm going to enjoy it. And the PSP could do it yes. But it looks a hell of a lot better on Vita. You're all sounding bitter and weird.
The reason why there's a lot of hate for Vita is...
There aren't any Vita games!
Oh WOW, it can play PS1 games on the go! ...So can a PSP! (Although PSP can't play -disc- games, so that's 1 for Vita.)
How many actual Vita games are there? ...And no, ports of PS3 games don't count.
.....(As far as my knowledge goes)...
ONE! And that's just an Uncharted game. Even if ports count.. Sound Shapes, Persona 4, Mortal Kombat, SF x Tekken... NOT VERY MANY!
PS: http://www.giantbomb.com/playstation-vita/60-129/games/ - This looks like a lot, but count how many are Vita only. ...About 15? Okay.. But a lot of them I think are Japan onry. So overall kind of less?

>< You don't need to yell to make a point.
Anyway, counting from wikipedia the list of all NA released Vita games the count is 47. And you can't dismiss ports or other versions on other platforms as reason for removing them.
Why? Because people don't necessary own the original game that got ported. Not everyone has played Persona 4, so the re-release with new content is a great opportunity for the people. The reason I got my Vita is so I could play PSP games because I didn't have a PSP. It's not because I'm rebuying something, it's because I never played it to begin with.
So ports are still completely valid because they increase the availability of a game to the public. They are all completely valid games.
