I got this downloaded to my Wii recently, and i love this game, i used to have it on the old super nes. and its amazing how a character like mario could ever be put in a rpg format.
if anyone else played this game, what did you like or didn't like about the game?
I thought the picture was of the RPG but it took a double take to realize it was in your sig haha. I used to love playing the Mario game, going to the different levels of each individual world. I must say it is def an addicting game even with the vast amount of other games and consoles that are now available to play on. Loved Mario on NES

I loved super mario RPG! The game had some rocking music, a bunch of different worlds you could play through, and awesome cast of characters, quite a few hidden secrets thrown in here and there, and was addicting as all hell. I used to (and still do lol) have it for my SNES, and it was definitely one of my more played games that I own haha.

Super Mario RPG still makes my list as one of my favorite RPGs (and general games) of all time.I played the hell out of that game. Even when I beat it, I would go around the world hunting for the hidden treasures to see if I could find them all. I don't think I ever did, but I'm pretty sure that I found most of them. The signal ring helps out a lot with that.
I think that Super Mario RPG has some of the best mini games, and they're in plentiful supply too. The Midus River course, the Beetle catching game, racing with Yoshi, and if you can find it, there's a Casino as well.
Like Rocky said, the music is fantastic. It has a great soundtrack with some of the best and most catchy tunes for a game I can think of. It's one of my faves. As for the story, yeah, there are games that have better stories, but to me it's one of the best. I still can play through the game and not be bored with it. Sadly, I don't own a physical copy anymore.I can still play it though.
So yeah, great game. One of the best, if not the best, RPGs for me.

Heavy Troopa was on of my favorite type of enemies to fight, and i often thought if instead of bowser on your crew you would have one of them. and the Axem Rangers... priceless, making fun of my childhood like that.
I always enjoyed the mini games in this game. Midas River was my favorite. Overstaying your welcome broke in Marrymore is fun too.
