Omega Quintet is Compile Hearts First JRPG for the PS4

A series of reveals came out from Compile Hearts and Idea Factory for their group the Galpagos RPG team. The Galpagos team is solely devoted to creating RPGs for the Japanese audience in mind and they teased they were working on their second RPG. While it was easy to assume they were making another game for the PS3, they've announced it will be for the PS4 instead and it is called Omega Quintet.

The story for the game is that a phenomenon called the "beep" which is killed life in the world. The protagonists are girls that can stop the "beep" and save the world, which are called Verse Maidens. They said it is quickly summed up as idols crossed with a RPG. So the girls will be like idols in appearance and possibly idols in the game, that part is not clear yet.

The game is currently set to release September 18th, 2014 in Japan.
