    Oblivion Characters Unite!!

K, so i've been playing Elder Scrolls IV-Oblivion this whole week. (for Ps3, because i'm an honest gamer.) Which is a game i haven't played in like a year. And i'm super-duper happy i finally got around to playing again. Anyways, i like everybody that plays Oblivion to post their character, and of course their characters stats too on this thread. I will get mine on soon, after i consume loads of food in dedication of the holiday "Thanksgiving". (Yay America!!!!)

    Re: Oblivion Characters Unite!!

I have to say I've not played in a long time either. If it hadn't have been for this post, then I probably wouldn't have put it on. xD

    My character in her armour.
My character in her normal/common clothing.
    Race, Birthsign, etc...
    Attributes.
    Just some status.
    More stats.
    Faction information one.
    Faction information two.
    Faction information three.
    Faction information four.

Don't ask about my character's class. The areas I wanted to develop her in placed her in nature, and collecting ingredients to make potions, and exploration, etc. I couldn't think of another name at the time.

My speed and agility are too high for my liking. I don't seem to "walk" anywhere now, and appear to glide... sure, I get to places twice as fast, but damn.

I read the books in the game. I once spent a whole afternoon just flicking through them. My favourite story was The Real Barenziah series.

Being a vampire sucks. So when I got cured, I pretended to be a vampire and only went out at night. Hence why I slept and waited for so much.

    Re: Oblivion Characters Unite!!

What does playing it on a PS3 make you an honest gamer? The game came out on PC first. I would post my character but I don't have pics anymore. It wasn't the efficient leveling character I had, I wanted max stats, very hard to do, and annoying.

I usually make half and half characters in the game, mainly the melee type though, leveling your int up is a tough one to do. I actually have been wanting to play this game again, even after I told myself I wont ever play it again.

Because i don't Mod the living crap out of the game. (I'm sure Moding is fun and everything, but when you can get Uber stats and weapons without working for them at all, its the same thing as cheating.) Sure, not every Pc oblivion player Mods, but i guarantee 90% do. So all together, me buying the Ps3 (or Xbox) port of Oblivion as oppose to the PC version makes me sort of honest, don't you think?

And i'm not trying to say that buying the PC version is automatically cheating or dishonest, but i think that anybody that has the PC version well eventually Mod something.

The only mods I would use would be the ones you can download on xbox and what not. I've never modded so I dont' think of modding lol.

    Re: Oblivion Characters Unite!!

I think modders who get the uber stats and awesome weapons are stupid. Having high stats in Oblivion makes it either too easy or unplayable, and decent weapons are very easy to come across early in the game anyway (Umbra <3).

    Also, the PS3 and Xbox versions have their exploits which make things easy, so it's still not exactly "honest". Some mods on the PC version are interesting too, like some of the armour design ones, different mounts and I think there were some weather changing ones... not sure. Mods aren't all that bad, but probably better for after you've finished the game. xD;

I remember Umbra beating the living S*** out of my old character about a year ago. I might be wrong, but i think you need to be at least Lv 15 with some at least average enchantments to beat her.

Well, i know there are some tricks you can do with the PS3 or Xbox ports, but i never do any of them, and i went into the store and bought the Ps3 Oblivion based solely on me wanting to not be Modder. So I guess I personally find myself honest.

    Re: Oblivion Characters Unite!!

The only reason to get max stats (efficient leveling) is to complete the game on the hardest difficulty.
