I was quite surprised to not see a Red Dead thread up already... I mean I guess this is a forum dedicated to an RPG series, but I figure that non-RPG's would still grab everyones attention now and again. Especially Red Dead Redemption. This game is phenomenal in many many ways. The world is full of life and character, the graphics are amazing, the soundtrack is an instant classic (free soundtrack with the GameStop reserve btw), and the voice acting is top notch. The story is a bit cliche at first, but starts to diversify later on in the game. I haven't even touched the multi-player yet, but I cannot wait to sink my teeth into it after finishing up the main story.
