Namco Bandai has released a new trailer for the FROM Software RPG, Dark Souls II coming out for PS3, 360 and PC next month. For those that recall, much of the marketing slogan for the previous game, Dark Souls focused on the idea that the player is going to die and die a lot. It was something to be expected and to be embraced, but still set the tone for being grim and dark and difficult. The new trailer turns around the idea into something more positive spinning the deaths not as a negative, but an experience and it is focused on the improvement and the proof of overcoming. Which in truth is a little more to the heart of the game, it's not punishing for the sake of being difficult. It is a process of learning from mistakes and the triumph of success against the odds that are stacked against the player.
Curious? There's no limits but your own imagination.
