Previously announced, the new Mugen Souls game will have a new main character. It is unknown if Chou-chou will still be present in the game, but the new main character is called Shirma, who's weapon of choose is a casket. Like with Chou-chou, she will be trying to become the undisputed god and has followers Ace and Nao to back her up, along with a large cast of other characters likely found on the new worlds.
The first Mugen Souls gave required the player to conquer 7 worlds. Conquering each of the worlds often granted new party members. This time around the new game will have 12 worlds to conquer. There are reportedly going to be more cooperative attacks and a new energy "Chou-Chou Energy", which is still fairly mysterious.
Mugen Souls Z is scheduled for a Spring 2013 launch in Japan. It is still a long time away, but there is a strong likelihood of NISA picking the game up, as they localized the first game.
