Mario Party 5 and 6 are good. I would stay away from 7 if I were you. As for Mario Party 8, you can't play that with a controller besides a Wii remote. Its really fun though, much better than 7.
I wanted to buy Mario Party 5-8 and was wondering those who have played them, which do you recommend the most in order? and what are the positive/negative aspects
Also can you play MP 8 on wii with a wii controller? (not wiimote)
Thanks in advance.

dont play 8, it will make u hate nintendo, it is a horible waste of money, i miss the days when mario party was good
Titles are merely a means to control those we fear
I thought that the Mario Party games made for the Nintendo 64 were the best. I've only played Mario party 1,2,3, and 5 though. Maybe if I play the other ones I'll change my mind.
Worst to best.
7, 5, 6 and then 8!

ViviMasterMage: "I'm eating your hair... Why?"
xTidus: "You have problems..."
ViviMasterMage: "You smell nice!...I do have problems!"
Both: *giggles*
To me the series totally died after 3 was released, and I shudder trying to imagine Mario Party with a wiimote.
Sometimes simpler is better.

I own all of the Mario Parties, it such a great series.
I lost the first 3 games, and coincidentally, I can't find my 64, either!
I enjoy every bit of these games, they're endless fun. True, having friends enhances the experience, but I've always had a good time. You can set the AI settings really high, and sometimes you can't beat them! But, it gives you more fuel, the fuel to win!
I never beat the 8th game, however, so I never found out if the starting guy who introduces you to everything is a villain or not. Oh well. Still love this series.
I'm going through a bit of a The World Ends With You phase right now.Click THERE:
