Little help on getting PSP/PSN games

So I'm deploying here soon, and since I don't feel like taking my 360, PS3, PS2, or Wii with me, I'm trying to compile a list of games I should download for my PSP to play for about 6-8 months (I'll have a lot of time on my hands)

Also I'm trying to decide on whether I should get a 16GB or 32GB memory card, obviously this would depend on the number of games I deem worthy enough to download. I also already have a 4GB, and a 2GB with Brave Story and FF7 already downloaded (FF8 and FF9 are already on my list to get)

So TFF family, what are your recommendations on what games I should consider trying, bear in mind I was absence almost the entire PSN era of gaming (SNES, N64, GCN was my life, yes I was a Nintendo brat lol)

I'm a HUGE fan of RPGs, Adventures, and Racing, among some other genre types but that's what I'm counting on your recommendations for. I'm also open for any other games I'm not accustom to, to also play.

Thanks in advance for any help provided

I have the following UMD games:

    Disgaea 1/2
    All the Monster Hunters
    Harvest Moon Back to Nature
    Midnight Club 3 DUB edition
    Star Ocean: Second Evolution
    Crisis Core
    Phantasy Star Portable
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
    Dissidia 012 Duodecim Final Fantasy

I'll give you a portal if you are looking for games and free downloads. It's going to be lonely out there. Let me know if these work for you.

The first two series, for those of you who don't read or know, were 7 volumes total and all for PS2. There was also an 8th; it was called .hack//Fragment Offline. A lot of people didn't know that I bet. Has anyone read any .hack manga? If you don't plan on getting Link and instead prefer to read, I recommend at least trying out .hack//Link Manga- Read .hack//Link Manga Online for Free at Manga Fox. Let me know what you think.

Re: Little help on getting PSP/PSN games

I honestly don't know where to begin...

First things first, Metal Gear Solid is a must, I also recommend Peace Walker, highly improved version of Portable Ops, though I'm not sure if it's available on PSN.

Both Parasite Eve games, second one in particular, survivor horror with RPG elements. Speaking of survivor horror, Silent Hill Origins is another great game I recommend.

Gran Turismo would be your best choice as far as racing games go, gorgeous graphics, realistic driving experience, well, more or less, and 800 cars just waiting to be driven.

I have yet to play Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, Daxter on the other hand is one of the best platformers I've played, the very best on PsP, so if you're into it give it a try. Also, the old Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro games.

Tekken 5: Dark Resurection, BlazBlue Portable, and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, top of their genre, on PsP that is.

Vagrant Story, bit weird, but great RPG nevertheless. Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection is also out, anniversary edition of first two Final Fantasy games would be worth getting as well...

...I'll edit this later, add bunch of more games, right now I need my sleep =).

For some reason Vagrant Story seems like one game I'm actually going to have to sit down with a blank mind and play, as it stands now, the game is....well... yeah but I'll give it a go nonetheless.

Lol at Crash Bandicoot, I still remember playing this game at my cousin's house lol. So funny, but I might give it a go, I never actually beat any of them anyway...

Now that I think about it, a lot of PS games I did play, they don't have on PSN, like Mega Man, Musashi, DBZ games, Digimon, etc... they have nothing on it..

They do have all 3 of the Arc The Lad games, any recommendations on those?

Re: Little help on getting PSP/PSN games

First of all, with some RPGs. It seems you have the essentials on UMD. Two I would recommend though is Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together and Valkyria Chronicles 2. TO is a brilliant strategy RPG which is a lot of fun and will keep you occupied for a long time. VC2 is a good strategy RPG, with a more action orientated twist. Don't worry if you didn't play the first one on PS3, it is good as a stand alone game.

As for racing, two games spring to mind. Gran Turismo is the obvious choice. It's the basics as far as raacing games go, but is great anyway. Again, will keep you occupied for hours. I found it much easier to pick up than the console versions. Another I would recommend is Motorstorm: Arctic Edge. This one is a lot of fun. A really great game. One hell of a soundtrack too.

I would also recommend Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines. I love the AC games, and the PSP one is awesome. Obviously the same as the console AC games, but that's not a bad thing. Lord of Arcana is good too. Since you have the Monster Hunter games, you will enjoy this.

As for some other games (these are all PSone), all the Crash Bandicoot games, Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider, any of the REAL classics really. Also, get FFV.
