    Re: Last game you finished

I've just beaten Torchlight, it's as good as Diablo II, in other words fun and addictive. Really love the pet system, saves you from lot of backtracking, one thing I'm not particularly fond of is the overall price you sell your loot for to merchants which can be up to 20 times lower than what it's originally worth. Can't wait to get my hands on Torchlight II which seems to be an even better game.

    Re: Last game you finished

Finally got around to finishing up Skyrim... now I'm starting it again. Last game I had a jack-of-all-trades Nord. This time around I'm a Breton battlemage. I'm kinda digging being a mage.

Has anyone in this family ever even seen a chicken?

    Batman: Arkham City

I may never play a game that doesn't have "Arkham-something" in the title It's as amazing as I had hoped and heard. Tons of content to keep you busy from the main story, and the main story itself is pretty great. Those advanced AR mission were kind of bullshit though (in that they were frustratingly difficult...), but I FINALLY got passed them! Just gotta find the rest of Riddler's Trophies, then I'll tackle a new game file.

I did it! I diiii iiiid it!!! Serious Sam 3 BFE. it was only the medium difficulty(i think) and there's a ++ hard mode I'll probably never strive to get it if I wish to remain a semi-stable individual. There's no first person shooter that can top this.

The most hardcore FPS first person shooter I've ever played hands down.
If you have ever struggled in and FPS game, and could use some training. this is the one that will set the standard in excellency.

Up to 4-16 players in campaign mode; for me it was solo, all the way, because of unstable internet. Bought it on sale at Christmas sale on Steam for $20 last Dec. so just wait for a good sale instead of paying the regular $40. I'm sure multiplayer content adds a lot more worth.

Add me on Steam if you'd like some help(I'll be online around the 23rd.) Happy Days!!!!

Just finished Max Payne 3, great story but hated the game play. Didnt like the AI, enemies mowed you down too fast and duck for cover for way too long, with the way the game made you play, it felt like i was playing time crisis with all the ducking for cover necessary, The games called Max Payne not Max Cover..

I have beaten the following as of recently:

Final Fantasy X - I have some character that break the damage limit, I need to go back and finish whats left of the sidequests and do some blitzball (which I haven't even touched yet...)

J.E.S.U.S - Tale of the Dreadful Bio-monster - This was a very interesting game. Its a visual novel for the famicom which has an english translation. The story starts off in this space station and you portray the protagonist Hayato and you investigate an incident that happens on the spaceship Corona. The ending was pretty corny but it stop the game from being enjoyable.

While Assassins Creed II was truly great Brotherhood managed to hit the sweet spot. Controls are more PC friendly, combat more fluid, though most importantly, the story didn't drag on. Recruiting assassins while nothing deep and complicated was a nice addition, rebuilding Roma was kinda fun in it's own way, side quest were more diverse this time around.

Just did a quick run through of The Darkness II it was a pretty good game. It has a very good story, my only big problem with it was that it was so damn short. The online campaign was very good, my only problem with it is my online death match type of thing.

I've just finished 'Kingdom Hearts: Re: Chain of memories' (or something like that). It was my first play-through (of course it was, I'd never play this thing twice!)
Perhaps it was just some residual anger I'd been harboring since playing the first KH, (pure torture) but this one annoyed me slightly less. (am I losing my high standards?)
The card battle system was difficult to get the hang of, and every time I lost to a boss, I found myself turning and snapping on whoever was trying to offer advice nearby... (I should really apologize for that) but once I figured out the super secret trick the fights just flew by:
    SPOILER!!:
put a zero attack card after every three (high numbered) attack cards in your deck. Keep replacing higher level cards between those zeros as you find them

The story disgusted and stirred me into a fury, as well as most of the performance of the voice-actors. I'm sure I won't be able to discuss it civilly until quite some time has passed, but I did find the
    SPOILER!!:
Riku story-line to be a slight relief. (Perhaps I just don't like Sora?) however, with Riku, the game became more difficult, as they made minor changes to the battle system that you'd been using for the first half.

Over all, I'd rate this one a tad higher than the first KH, but only because the battle system forced you to have a brain.
I would like to try to write up a more in-depth review on this one later.

I just finished Sleeping Dogs, and quite frankly, it is the best game I have played this year. It's just amazing, gameplay wise, combat wise, story wise and graphically phenominal. I recommend this game to anyone.

Anyone who likes GTA, True Crime, even the Rocksteady Batman games (mostly for the combat) will have an absolute blast with this game.

Doom II RPG - until recently I didn't even knew this game existed, strange as I had a blast playing the first one couple of year ago. I didn't really mind playing graphically inferior version as the overall experience is pretty much the same. Not much has changed as far as gameplay itself goes save for new classes, there's looting this time around and the overall challenge rose up a notch. The sheer amount of enemies in final stages is ridiculous to say the least, luckily I managed to save lot of bufs for later use. Chainsaw has to be the most useful weapon (even more so if you raise your strength) next to, this may sound funny, holy water pistol. Overall a great game, huge recommendation to anyone who has a half decent phone.

I also managed to beat RE: Code Veronica X, it's not even funny how superior it is to newer games, in survival horror sense of course. I was kinda hoping to add Deus Ex: Human Revolution to this list, but I lost my saves halfway through (my PC crashed), superb game nevertheless.

Mass Effect, this time on PC. I find Mass Effect does actually play a LOT better than on console, so I had an absolute blast with this. Although I always do with Mass Effect

Currently playing ME2 on PC, but I keep getting distracted with Guild Wars 2

Max Payne 3 was the most recent victim, shortly before that I managed to clear Duke Nukem Forever.

Heh kinda funny, took me Forever (get it? it took them over 12 years to make this Duke Nukem.. ^^;.) to finally get through that damn game they made it difficult - though with that being said its likely just my old age that is screwing with me. Not quite sure if loading the end-game save file for Mass Effect 3 counts as a finish, since I've already done it a few times with different story flags and romances.

My recent completed game would have to be Super Adventure Island II for the SNES, man was that a great game. The levels were nice, it played a lot like Zelda II in the way of style. My biggest accomplishment was getting the Light Sword from the Casino which was worth 49,950 coins (yeah, you literally had to gamble to even make that much). That's about it for now, hopefully I'll get some more games beat along the way.

Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning, great game with combat and character development (in RPG sense) as it's strongest points. The story aint that shabby either, it keeps you intrigued til the very end. My biggest complaint are NPC's and how useless they are in battle, for instance five of them can't handle one measly Tuatha. I clocked over 50 hours into it, I feel I still have 15 hours more to go through (never did join the mage and travelers guild), not to mention those DLC's, in other words even though I'm done with the main story I still have a lot to play.

Another solid entry from one of my top 5 favourite videogame series, Ace Attorney. Bringing in a new protagonist didnt sit well with me initially however the sharp n clever writing skills behind the Ace Attorney games shone through once more particularly for me in Apollo Justice. Eccentric, new characters and a few old, familiar faces with the usual witty repotoire n humour. Same gameplay mechanics as PW with a couple of new additions; Apollo's 'perceive' function and my favourite and less awkward, Wright's 'psyche lock' system as well as the new Jurist system which wasnt quite as interactive as I thought itd be. Considering the Ace Attorney storylines, with Apollo Justice I felt that the 4 cases and usual quirky new characters were interlinked so completely n utterly perfectly, I replayed Turnabout succession 5 times after to take it all in n savour it. If the cases are boring you, stick it out. The ending is fkng worth it.
    Some personal thoughts:
The new attorneys (n brothers), Klavier & (to a lesser extent) Kristoph annoyed me..esp Klavier's tacky rock theme.
That stolen panties case almost put me off the entire game but i hung in there..thankfully. Wright's doctor..I want to kill that pedo. Sick fuk.
Phoenix Wright sans Attorney Badge is rather sexy But Miles (is(nlooks)like Sephiroth but in lawyer form n lil more responsive) is still my one&only in the series.

If your a fan of the Ace Attorney series, Trials & Tribulations would most likely become your favourite entry. Much much much better than Justice For All, it has all the great features as with the two previous games, and the new cases are as gripping as ever. You get to play as Mia Fey as well, which ties into the whole game and answers many questions to events in the past games that have always held an air of curiosity around them, such as the conclusion to the ongoing mystery surrounding Misty Fey and the Master of the Kurain Channeling Technique. Whilst wrapping up the Fey story, the game also introduces a great new character Godot, a very mysterious prosecutor who appears to hold a grudge for Phoenix, sheesh dont they all.. Again, like Justice For All, some of the wacky, quirky characters from the previous instalments make an appearance. Personally I felt that the other storylines and personalities created in the other three were fantastic, but this particular entry had the most colorful, dramatic n memorable characters of them all. I saw a bit of myself in Dahlia Hawthorne ha so Her and Godot were my favourite characters in TT overall. The moments where Phoenix gets coffee thrown in his face by Godot were pretty hilarious. In the second game I felt the music was not as strong as the original, but number three is a return to form with much catchier tunes. Shu Takumi is a creative genius, one of the few saving graces at Capcom *sniff*DMC*sniff*

I don't mean to sound like a PC elitist here, but those playing Skyrim on consoles are seriously missing out on a lot of great stuff Skyrim Nexus offers. I began my playthrough with at least 30 mods on (my favorite, one of the simpler ones, Enhanced Night Sky), it made Skyrim that much better, both visually and as far as gameplay goes. I'll be honest, it took me a while to get into Skyrim, after that it was nothing but pure fun. My one and only complaint are bugs, some even go as far as unable you to solve certain sidequests. I'm 80 hours into Skyrim with main story beaten, and yet I barely scratched the surface.

I've also beaten Final Fantasy III, Android version. It's a fun game for those who don't mind excessive grinding. It took me a while to solve the Mognet Sidequest, I think I'll leave Iron Giant for another playthrough. With all of it's improvements I still prefer NES version.

Last game I finished was Far Cry 3. Absolutely brilliant game, not had that much fun with a shooter since Borderlands. My only nit-pick was the lack of bad guys once I'd taken over all of the bases - I expected them to perhaps go under attack now and then to keep me on edge, but I had virtually no one to kill for most of the game. Also, very glad I choose to save my friends at the end of the game... the other ending was awkward and very wtf. So not worth it for the tatau.

    Currently playing through Skyrim again, even though I should probably play something I've not yet completed. I downloaded the DLC against my better judgement (one; I'm a PS3 player, so you can imagine my pain, and two; I got all the DLC for free on my Xbox, so I can't complain about being in pain too much just yet). I enjoyed Dawnguard, which I finished the other night, and I am very much in love with Serana. I dislike Bethesda's decision to make her un-marriageable. She is the only character in the whole game that you share such a real, intimate relationship with. To even put the option there just to get shot down by her makes me sad face. ;-;

Last game I have completed as of late is The Last Story, I actually completed this like several weeks ago. Really fun game though, it defines how action rpgs and strategy rpgs should mesh together. In other words, the battle system is PERFECT! Next game I'm going to be posting about when i get done with it is Tales of Phantasia, still working on that one.

Alan Wake - it's surprisingly short, enjoyable, though not nearly as frightening as I thought it would be. It has a rather weird and confusing ending to say the least.

Far Cry 3, which is the best game I played in 2012. The story isn't great, but the gameplay is sooo much fun. Loving the stealth elements and crafting, and the fact it basically goes from a guy struggling to survive to full-on Rambo simulator. Definitely recommended.

At the moment, I'm trying to wade through my backlog, although it's getting pretty hard to manage. My top priorities are Red Dead Redemption and Bioshock 2, although I have just bought Tokyo Jungle. So...

Tekken 6 on the psp. I was a little disappointed to find out that all 40+ characters are available right from the start, rather than around 10-15 that you start with in the previous games, because unlocking new characters is a lot of the fun. Also Azazel, the final boss is a real pain to fight, due to his auto guard and the fact you can't throw him like with human characters. It took me a while, but once I figured out the best times to attack him and that a lot of his attacks can be blocked, he wasn't so hard. I'd take Jinpachi over him any day.

I like how each character's fighting style has evolved since Tekken 5, as a lot of the slower fighters, like Jack-5 have much faster combos. Devil Jin in particular is much easier to fight with, I never really used him in Tekken 5 as I felt he was missing some useful attacks.

I haven't really been able to catch up on games until the end of last year... that being said-- Final Fantasy 12. |||OTL

It's sad because I got lost in the desert, forgot what my mission was supposed to be, couldn't advance, and I just decided to forget about the game... for 5 years. Until, one day I got fed up with my "not-being-able-to-completely-finish-a-game" tendency and decided to plop down and get through my 5-year-old predicament. I didn't know I was supposed to cross the river RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME and kill a group of terrorizing Cactuars.

    God damn it.

((but I'm so glad I finally finished the game))

Ocarina of time on the 3DS. Felt good to go back through the game after not playing for such a long time.

I felt like I rushed it a bit though, which was disappointing, but you can only do so much to keep the game going.
