Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days also seems to have trophies, but it is a bunch of cutscenes and reading. So they are pretty easy to get them. You just have to power through several hours of content.
So what do you think? Who's going to try them out when the game comes over here? I know I'm game, just not thrilled about the gummi ship stuff. I don't really know if I want to do all of those things over again.

Shadow lurking in the Clock Tower - Defeat the Phantom at the Clock Tower in Neverland
Could never do this in the PS2 release. Now it's back to haunt me. Also, I heard the difficulty trophies don't stack, so people going for the plat will definitely have to do at least 3 runs of the game. I enjoyed KH and CoM a lot though, so no probs there.
Yeah, I remember the boss being a pain, but I'm pretty sure I beat him. It's been a long time, though I did 100% the game the last time I played it. And I was getting the same impression from people that you have to complete the difficulty ones separate. It is a little annoying, but I enjoy the game and they were talking about finishing the game in like 8 hours after the first run. So it probably won't be too bad.

It's all good! Just combine your "no equipment swap" run with your "easy difficulty" run, and it's less of a time-sink.

The first KH was probably one of my favorite games on the PS2 back when I was a teen; I may be convinced to get it again but one question still has me undecided yet..
Scene skipping in KH1, is it available now? (I think the fact that me trying to do the 1v1 boss fight with Riku on proud mode that took like 30 tries really ruined it for me)

Then again this one is kind of on the outs with me if she doesn't straighten up and fly right so that means I will be back in it for the thrill of the kill. Got some in the reserves. Even got a rePETEr (<---- like that ay? AYYYYY?) on the back burner.
Block: I do like the rePETEr except it kinda makes it sound like you're going to pork Pete. No homo.

Most likely, Square has been implementing that with the KH games they put out these days. Dream Drop Distance was the last KH to feature that out of recent KH releases.
Scene skipping is confirmed to be in the Japanese version, when they were talking. So you're going to be safe not forced to watch the same one repeatedly.

Yep, I'm not surprised. Its actually a good thing that they are doing it with this game, imagine how many people had to sit through watching sephiroth appear over and over each time they lost a fight against him (ugh).
Yeah, I was super patience with that scene and I fought him a ton, partially because I actually really enjoyed the fight. But the things we accepted ten years ago and no longer accept now. It's rather funny how a decade changes things. I remember challenging Sephiroth around lv 51 because that was the moment I got second chance. Pretty sure I beat him, got pretty good at fighting him. Sort of disappointing I beat him in one try in KH2.

Out of all KH games, I think this game had the best opening, it was really intriguing to the player being in a mysterious place, sora learning about his destiny and all. Lets see what worlds did I like... I liked the aladdin one, neverland, tarzan one was fun (deep jungle?), traverse town, and hallow bastion followed by end of the world.
EDIT: to be fair, i think i liked the Neverland one as well.
Yeah, they have fun worlds to travel to, some where more fun than others. The Hercules world was really small, but I think it got blown out to something bigger for KH2. I think I enjoyed the Tarzan one and Alice in Wonderland the most. The Alice in Wonderland managed to play around with the scale to make it feel interesting. It is suppose to have stuff like in KH2 as well like the camera and button sensitive actions, so I'm curious to see how it plays.
Wow, I don't think I've ever heard anyone saying they aren't getting something because it's not on the Vita before.

Rowan makes a hell of a point though - I love my RPGs to be mobile. I like the ability to pick them up and take them with me, play them on trips, on break at work, and just suspend when my attention is needed elsewhere.
While I WILL be getting the KH1.5 & 2.5 upon release, I will always secretly (not-so-secretly now) wish that they were on my Vita.

Allow me to elaborate. I have smashed KH to death on ps2. I dont care to play it again unless I can play it mobile. I wouldnt nearly be as excited for the re-release of x and x-2 if they weren't to be released on vita also.
That's an interesting way of looking at it. For me, I'd prefer playing from the comfort my TV. But having the Vita version of FFX if they do cross-buy means I'll be able to playing a little at work and keep the addiction running on high. I'm just excited for the re-release with the Final Mix content and updating controls along with 358/2 Days, which I never played.

But 358/2 days are just cut scenes aren't they? For the HD remake? For those getting this 1.5 remix, do yourself a favor and avoid chain of memories. If KH games aren't as good as they used to be CoM is to blame.
CoM was pretty good, in my opinion. The story sucked, but ever since Organisation XIII it hasn't made sense anyway. CoM was at least a fresh gameplay idea. I don't know how well it will translate from GBA, but they already had a Japanese PS2 version, right? I remember watching videos of it. It looked alright.
Yeah, 358/2 Days is only cutscenes, but it means I'll be able to see the story, which is what I care about. The KH series has a lot of things going on and I'm not willing to go through all of them on different platforms, but I'll catch them out when easily available.
