actually I have no intentions on getting it just quite yet. The workouts and games associated with it look kinda fun actually but idk if I want to drop the money on it yet. I'll give it a couple months or so.
Also, I need your gt! I realized you are not on my friendslist lol. (even though I only play Black Ops and Reach but w/e)

Then again this one is kind of on the outs with me if she doesn't straighten up and fly right so that means I will be back in it for the thrill of the kill. Got some in the reserves. Even got a rePETEr (<---- like that ay? AYYYYY?) on the back burner.
Block: I do like the rePETEr except it kinda makes it sound like you're going to pork Pete. No homo.

I've been so wrapped up in Dance Central that I haven't even opened Kinect Adventures yet, ha ha ha. Its seriously addictive! I had to pry myself away from it last night.
hi i was wondering, do you need a big space to use kinect? because i use a VGA cable to play on a pc-screen in my sleeping chamber and i don't have much room to be verry active in there...
so how many space do your need?
how far do you need to put your kinect 'camera' away from you?
on which height you need to put it?
And most important what is the price for the kinect 'camera' and what do you need to pay for the games?
You need to have a livingroom shaped out around the television/Kinect to be able to play it properly. I think it's also 6' you need to be standing away from it? In my livingroom, which is decent sized, that would require me to move the tv to the center of the wall, or move a sofa. It's unplayable in any of the other rooms in my house because we have furniture. Who knew?
Also, the games that are coming out are things I don't have interest in. I'm all for being more active when playing video games, but I'd rather stick with the Wii. Or Move, when I get my grubby fingers on one.
...Also, you might have guessed, but I'm not an xbox fan.

I'm not really into this new age of motion sensing gaming. The Kinect does not look that great, definitely not worth the money it is selling for. For one, you need a large amount of space. It would be no good in my room what so ever. Secondly, the games coming out for it look like the stuff you would just find on the Wii. Nothing new. OK, it is a bit different to the Wii and the Move, but I've seen it in action, and from what I saw, you want it to do one thing, and it decides to do something completely different.
I don't have an Xbox, but if I did, there is no way I would spend £130 on something that is, from what I have seen, pretty lackluster in comparison to it's competitors. I'd rather spend that money on a Wii.
I'm not interested in it at all, I hate new technology thats about these days, laptops/phone and thiner than your pink and getting smaller with every release, motion sensor consols, 3D t.v, I just don't see the need for it personally. My partner of the other hand does want a kinect, altho it will probably be used for about a month then never get touched again like the wii we used to have.

new technology mostly give more difficulties...
A washing machine for example, some years ago when it broke down, you just had te change a belt and you went to the store to fetch one
Nowadays if it is broked you call the costumer services, 2 weeks later they send someone, he says "it looks like ... is broken (a kind of pc), then it says "i don't have it with me, but i'll be back..." and then another 2 weeks later he comes back to repair the machine.
conclusion: You can't repair it yourself and repairs take way to long... (4 weeks for a washing machine...)

Out of curiosity, where are you getting your info that you need a large space to play it in? Because we have a seriously small living room, as we live in a condo so space is tight to begin with and we have zero problems playing with our Kinect.
Personal preference for sure! If you don't like Xbox then obviously you aren't going to be interested in it. I've played with the Wii, I've also played with the Move and Kinect and as much as I hate Microsoft, Kinect blows it all out of the water. But that's just my personal preference.

Pretty sure he got it from the instructions itself. It's been all over the gaming media that you need a huge amount of space to make it work properly citing actual Microsoft documentation. It's not exactly contested terrain.
Here you go:
You know what the biggest problem with Kinect is though? The lack of super peripherals to spend more money on. I mean, look at Sony's new gun attachment for Move.
Wtf.
No, but seriously, the problem with Kinect is the lack of core content and the limitations of controllerless gaming. And the price.
i won't buy it, to play i need to sit in front of my 17inch screen te be able to read subtitels fast enough at some games.... i don't have that much free space in my room...
but i like the concept of no controller, but it may be funnyer to actually use something to play.
as far as i know there aren't any good kinect games (or am i wrong?)
