IoG is an awesome game. I might try that beta as well.
I recently started a brand new game of IoG, but I'm playing the pre-release beta version of the game that exists. Those of you familiar with the game, you might be interested in reading into the differences I've uncovered while playing. Here's what I've learned from what I played (south cape leading to that town after the gold ship)
- The title screen depicts Will, Kara, and Hamlet running across a comet with soul blazer: illusion of gaia labeled above them
- Will is known as Tim
- Will's friends are named accordingly: Lance was Rob, Erik was Eric, Kara was Karen, Seth was Morris, Hamlet was Becky and Peggy (programmers couldn't make up their mind i'm assuming), and the Jackal was originally named The Black Panther (they should of left that in).
- Tim is narrating the story rather than the author of the game.
- There are plenty of typos. Funniest ones i've encountered are: Pyscho Dashcan, and this narration line "And then something began to happened."
- The King and Queen of Edward Castle's clothing were a different color.
- The guy guarding the entrance of South Cape warns Will of demons around the point he was about to leave to visit the king. Wasn't in the final game.
That's as much of the differences that I found, if I find anymore I'll post them. If you have any comments or questions, i'd love to hear them.
