Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory Confirmed for NA/EU release

NISA confirmed recently that they would be localizing and bringing the latest in the Neptunia series to the NA and EU regions. They've also confirmed that they will be using the titled Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, rather than going with "V" which might have been confusing for some thinking it is the fifth in the series.

TGS brought some additional information about the game from interviews. For those that have not been following the game, it will be taking place in the 80s of gaming. The first game focused on the current generation consoles for their characters, PS3, 360 and Wii. The second game focused on the handhelds DS and PSP, but their representatives of the consoles still were present and eventually playable. The third game's focus will bring in new characters that are similar and different from their past counterparts. As Nintendo naturally had a different console during the 80s.

The four existing goddess will continue to be present to represent themselves, so Sony, Nintendo, Sega and Microsoft are still around, but there is confirmed to be a fifth goddess as well, Yellow Heart that represents the PC platform.

The story for Victory is that Neptune's laziness has caused her to regress back to level 1. In an effort to fix this, she discovers the portal back to the past. There she will find younger versions of characters and different versions of familiar ones. Villains for the game are based off the political situation at the time with lawmakers and the Prime Minister among others that were trying to combat videos and protect the child of the day from their negative effects.

Other new features revealed as the ability to recruit minions to do work for you, such as collecting items, locate desired monsters and scout areas out. This should help out with grinding and navigating the game. Jumping will finally allow for some platforming and multi-tier levels, unlikely in past games here jumping did nothing.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory is expected out Spring 2013.
