lol I got my onyx rating tonight, so I'm pretty much a boss. Wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, I was only at like a 1758 rating or something. Also, I think I'm at the max rank which is Warrant Officer grade3, can someone confirm that being the highest one?

Rocky wtf is the thing with the rating. I got one friend saying the higher the better, and another saying the lower the better.

Also this Halo is a lot better but still each one has it's pros and cons.

It's based off of the Elo Rating system I think, where the higher means better, and I think somewhere around 1350-1400 is like beginning, and if you play well you increase but if you lose you go down in rank, kinda like the WoW arena ranking system (I think? someone confirm prz).

But yeah the crazy thing is, you can only increase your ranking I believe. I've played games where I've done sub-par for like 3-4 games, then one game I'll grab snipe in sword base and go like 20-8 with double digit assists and I'll go up by like 40 points or so lol.

Yea WoW's rating system is higher better. And my friend was telling me when he does REALLY great, his points go up, compared to winning 5 games no + to rating.

yeah, I don't think its really based on "winning games" as much as it is going for the snipe and statwhoring the entire game to make your ratio look sexy. Oh well, it's still something different than H3's system, and I'm all for change after that piece of shite game...

Well with this rating it will actually show you who is good and actually get people you should be playing against. Not like in Halo 3 where even if your highest skill is 15 in that Playlist, you still go up against other 50's who are that same rank in that playlist but higher in another.

To get an 1800 you have to play perfection games nonstop. 3 of them, good luck getting that. And a 1758? Yeah, that's amazing, what division did you make it into?

yeah that night I was in a party of four and we were just rolling everyone, plus I got to pad the stats a bit since everyone was letting me take snipe up to top red on sword base lol. But yeah I was suprised myself, I think I was higher than everyone else that day by at least 100 points rofl. I think overall though I averaged a 1680-1700 or so. And yeah I got Onyx, top 10% in the Onyx division I think? Not bad I guess.
