I like Jenna over Garet

Actually, I forgot about Jenna since I haven't played in so long. I liked her better too.

I'm starting to forget a lot of stuff in these games, so I should probably replay them before the new one comes out, but the new one probably won't be out until next year.

EDIT: I think it would have been nice to get the characters earlier in the game. I really wanted to replace the characters that I didn't like. I liked using all of the characters from the first game except for Jenna instead of Garet.

I got a GBA because of Golden Sun. The Psyenergy abilities learned throughout the games were fun and made the dungeons more interactive - the psyenergy abilities in Golden Sun 2 got even better. All the different Djinn with their own special powers and then the summons added more gameplay into battles.

Let us not forget the weapons that had special effects as well. MEGIDO! You know, I would not mind Final Fantasy taking a page from Golden Sun in having some weapons with special attacks or special effects. If they [SE] did that they may want to take out any form of Limit system otherwise the characters may be doing a special attack too frequently.

And Ryu, the graphics for a GBA game were great; I don't know of a GBA game that looks better than both Golden Sun games.

I think one thing that deserves recognition is the music which was damn wonderful. Definitely the music from both games are in my top five soundtracks. The multiple battle music themes are fantastic and really get me into battling.

Surprisingly though I could have set the Djinn to any character to get different classes I never did that. I always kept Djinn that each character was associated with and the Djinn they get in their respective games. I guess I'm a purist in that respect.


My DS will be getting a lot of RPG play with the Golden Sun DS game, if it comes stateside (I'm hoping), Dragon Quest VI, and Dragon Quest IX. In E3 '09, the Golden Sun DS revelation was the best news I got from Nintendo. I couldn't believe the Golden Sun series was getting some love again.
