I have to say, the First God Of War was a HUGE Step in gaming history. God Of War is one of my Favorite Games, only wish 3 was coming onto the 360
Well, God of War is essentially Sony's Halo, God of War will come to XBox when Halo comes to Playstation and Mario goes all-round!

GoW wont ever go multi platform there right Kratos is Sonys master chief. Even if Kratos would seriously whoop m. chiefs ass..but yea ive been drooling over GoW3 there saying the polygon count of Kratos alone is to big to even fit on the ps2 memory....
Yep! Something like 20,000 Polys! *drools* Plus he actually gets bloodier when he fights! (I was wondering how his skin always stayeds white despite the flying blood! ROFL!)

i know fantastic GoW3 was one of the reasons i bought a ps3. The other was FF13
well i love foe gow has massive bosses and such. and yes kratos would own m chief

It's both debatable and irrelevant whether God of War is Sony's Halo or not as Sony owns the rights to the franchise and most certainly the code as well. Short of Sony selling the franchise or leaving the console industry, Kratos will never appear on a console that isn't Sony's.
On to the topic at hand, I've been greatly anticipating God of War 3. The trailers and demos already look bad ass and given their track record, it's going to be a fantastic conclusion to the series.

He's not going to fight anyone after the third game. God of War is a trilogy. The developers have stated several times that they have no plans to create anymore games in the series. If they ever do another one, God of War will officially be Sony's Halo as they'll have proven to have milked it just as much as Microsoft milks Halo.

Good God, stop bickering you two. However, Jin is right Armageddon, there will be no more God of War, they won't milk the franchise dry like Halo. Anyway, I'm hoping for more interesting boss fights with legendary creatures. I myself am hoping for a Scylla/Charybdis duel fight like in the Odyssey.

I for 1 (as much as it pains me to say) hope the series ends at 3 because it just wouldnt be right to take it into other mythios.... to do so would truly kill the spirit of the games and would be criminal lol however if sony wanted a billion dollars id be 100% behind amovie....long as whoever butchered DOOM wasnt involved and the rock was shot if he came on set and it was done true to the franchise...I do agree with hoping for even more badass bosses and cant wait to hijack a cyclops

God of War 1 and 2 are going to be released on a single blu-ray disc with updated 720p graphics, running at 60 fps, and full PSN integration, including trophies. Look for it this holiday season, boyos. Rejoice.

A buddy of mine brought over GoW 1 & 2 since I was out of games, and hadn't decided what to play next. I never played these games when they first came out (not sure why). Since I'm a total Sony-Fanboy...I thought that I would try them.
Going from the newly released PS3 game (inFamous) I just beat, back to GoW 1 was a big jarring (graphics wise), but I must say that I was not let down in the least when it came to the fun that I got from the game. It was nice & refreshing to have a game that I could enjoy without having to concentrate on every little thing or whatever...just go & love it. And I just beat it this last weekend.
So I've started on GoW 2 (much improvement graphics wise), and so far so good...loving it. So I know that I will totally get GoW 3 when it comes out for the PS3. The music is pretty good...game play is fun. There are plenty of attack type things to do, that everyone gets their own style eventually. I wonder if they could almost "customize" the powers so that the character that each person makes would be unique? (think Diablo 2).

Believe it or not, i've never played any of the God of War games, but I hear you can get the first two quite cheap these days, maybe i'll have to give them a try.
I think I'm beginning to understand. An answer from the Planet, the Promised Land...I think I can meet her...there.
But can you get them with anti-aliased graphics at 720p running at 60fps? Not yet, but soon.

God Of War is probably the most epic game on the playstation System lol. Played both 1 and 2 and waiting for the 3rd next year, I reckon Christopher Lee should voice act Zeuss in the next one.....im sure I read somewhere he was suppose to voice act for the second one, not sure what happened.

The graghic on the game was the best thing about it but I dont like games that are easy to beat and God Of War was very easy for me I think it took me 3 Days at the most. Also I like games that when you finsh the story line you can go back and do side quest and keep leveling/Gaining money. I just wish they would had made it a little diffente is all. It was a good game Ill give it that but it was not worth the 40USD I spent on it lol.
Perhaps you should play an RPG if you're looking for a 30 hour game in which you level up and gain money. It's kind of silly to expect that from an action-adventure game. It's not like there weren't a ton of extras in the first God of War.

It had good Graphics, but the gameplay is what really matters. I've only played #2 and I have to say it was an awesome game.
I can confirm that the God of War Collection is truly a must buy for any fan of the series. The 60 FPS alone makes the game look incredible for a last-gen game.
Kratos' assault on Mount Olympus with the Titans will be memorable to say the least ^_^
